Product Description The Puzzle Mates Portapuzzle range is a puzzle theme of robust puzzle boards, and inserts, that when closed are able to keep every one of your jigsaw pieces safe. The Portapuzzle range has a unique specially designed lining that keeps puzzle pieces in place and also provides the ideal surface to puzzle on. Light weight and robust, the Portapuzzle can be easily transported and stored away to keep your house clutter free. The Portapuzzle Standard allows you to build your jigsaw puzzle in the centre of the board - the side panels and the removable panels can be used for sorting pieces. When you have finished working your puzzle, place the removable panels over your jigsaw, take the pieces from the side panel and close the side panels over the centre panel. Fix the central nylon fastening strap then close the nylon fastening straps at the top and bottom of the board. Your puzzle is now safe to move around or store until you want to work on it again. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: what size is the actual work space?**
A: I also found the main (middle) working space measurement to be 36" x 25(.5)" and would add that the measurement of each side flap is 18" x 25". It allows for a panoramic style puzzle to be done, except of course then you cannot close the carrying case. Also, the extra two loose mats(for sorting or covering) measure 16.5" x 23.5".

**Q: if i hold it on my lap to work, will it bend enough to mess up puzzle? & can I store on edge or must it be stored flat?**
A: I put mine on my lap and supported the sides with pillows. It wasn't flat but it was doable and allowed me to stretch my legs out! As for standing it on the side, it was okay at a fairly steep angle very close to 90 degrees, but as soon as it was completely perpendicular to the floor, all the loose pieces not put together slid down :(

**Q: Is the work area surface hard or soft-what is it constructed of? I've heard it's too soft to work on**
A: It is not too soft. It is a thin fabric covering a board, which also holds the puzzle in place when the mat is folded up. You can open up the mat and the two panels are of the same board/fabric. Lots of space to work on, and the surface holds the pieces nicely and makes the mat portable once closed. It is a well constructed portfolio, portable, and not too soft too work on for me. I am getting one for my sister for Christmas!

**Q: Does it have a zipper closure?**
A: No, this one has velcro closures. The PortaPuzzle Deluxe has a zipper but only is available in a 1000 piece version.
