I normally have a since of dread for painting projects. Retique has figured it out. It seems pricey but I found you use way less .

I would say that this was both easy to use and hard to actually make it look like real wood.I painted a full furniture piece but I did not like the end result of covering all with this , it was not the right style for the piece of furniture , nevertheless, I kept the top of the chest drawer in this color and it looks fantastic!I think this looks amazing is small and very well thoughtful spots ! Like doors that don’t have many crevasses or wood tops .

Didn’t want a drastic wood grain so I put pickled oak on the taupe paint from Benjamin Moore.

I was excited to give this product a try.Pros- easy to clean brushCons- everything else.The primer and stain were both woefully disappointing. Extremely streaky stain that did not absorb well. I’m tempted to try on a cabinet to see if this product works better on an ultra smooth surface, I also don’t want to ruin a cabinet when it fails to work out. At $5 this might be worth the time to do 100 steps to get a good finish. At nearly $100 for a small stain and primer “can” it’s a waste of money.

This product is an interesting concept, but it actually works and looks like real wood. The first application annoyed me because it wasn't looking too good, but I ended up wetting the brush for smoother brush strokes, and after 3 coats of this paint it finally had to coverage I needed. I applied the stain with a lint free rag and I was amazed that it looked like wood grain.

So happy with the results I also used the gel stain in Pecan

The media could not be loaded. Easy to use. Was hard to do a wood grain “stamping” bc of the details of the wood it just was hard to make it fit
