I like to keep the knives I use most often in a wooden knife block. But it was expensive and takes up a lot of counter space. I keep the rest of my knives in plastic sleeves in one of these boxes. My largest 8 inch chef knife just fits diagonally with plenty of room for my other blades. Since the base of the box is clear plastic, I have no trouble finding the box containing the knives. The boxes are made of durable plastic, so I know my knives are well protected. When I need one of these knives, the latches open and close easily, but won't open inadvertently; you'll hear a definite "click" when you open and close them. All this at a reasonable price.

The container is strong, made from strong plastic, nice for putting smaller things because of its size. Easy to see through & easy to open & latches to keep it securely closed
