Do I have to remove the nits? I can’t get them out even with the comb

Yes, you do. To remove the nits, I bought and used a professional lice comb set because the provided comb didn't have micro grooving on its teeth for effective nits removal. Anyway, Nix is a great treatment option.

Ive tried, spent hourssss combing, but cannot get all these nits out..first treatment worked to kill off bugs, but will the missed nits hatch?

You have to make sure all the nits are gone it’s a pain but do another treatment in a week and a week after that. Check every night for nits you missed. Good luck.

How does Nix Ultra kill eggs (nits) exactly? I’ve read multiple sources that say nits can’t be killed by suffocation because they do not breath.

Any eggs/nits that are 3/4 days old won’t die because they dnt have a neurological system yet, so it’s better to treat hair again in 7-10 days for any eggs that might have hatched since the first treatment. Hope that makes sense.

If nits are still present post nix ultra treatment, can they reinfestate?

The treatment is suppose to kill the eggs too. And the comb that comes with it is suppose to remove the dead nits and dead bugs. So, hopefully there should not be a re-infestation. I would do another treatment after a couple days if you are worried about a re-infestation.
