Two quick-access pockets (one magnetic, one zip) mean boarding passes and earbuds never disappear into the abyss. Inside, a retractable key leash keeps my office fob from hiding, and a cable passthrough channel lets a power bank live in its own pocket while juicing my phone in the main compartment. Zippers deserve their own shout-out. NOMATIC uses beefy, water-resistant YKK hardware that glides like butter yet seals tight against dust and drizzle. The full-perimeter zips let the bag open clamshell-style for easy packing, and oversized pulls are easy to grab even with cold or sweaty hands—no more wrestling snaggy teeth when the TSA line is glaring. Comfort surprised me most. Even fully loaded, the bag hugs close to my body instead of swinging like a brick. The strap spreads weight evenly, and the molded back panel lets me hustle through terminals without bruising my shoulder. Need a break from shoulder carry? Unclip the strap and grab the low-profile top handle—it’s padded just enough for short hauls. Sure, it’s an investment—about three hundred dollars—and the sleek silhouette won’t swallow a bulky hoodie on top of your gear. But if you live out of your bag Monday through Friday, the rock-solid build, clever organization, buttery-smooth zippers, and do-everything functionality more than justify the price. Bottom line: For pros who need laptop protection, airline-ready access, rainproof reliability, and a few smart tricks up its sleeve, the NOMATIC Messenger Bag is worth every penny.

Had it for 3 years then it broke, I contacted the company and they are sending me a new one. It’s great they are standing behind there product :) Solid product and company :)

PROS - Material - Construction - Zippers (stiff at first but I have other bags with these. They get easier) - Storage space - Versatility - Design CONS - Top handle does not stick up enough to be useful. It's so low that your knuckles dig into the zippers and it crushes your fingers. Would have be better with some elastic so that it stretches out more - The shoulder strap mechanism that shortens and extends it just sticks and I have to fight with it. Not like what I saw in the video of it simply sliding up and down. - Laptop pocket is for up to 15" and they mean it. 15.9 is a complete no go. Why did I give it 5 stars? Because it's worth it! The CONS listed above don't impact that score. Sure the handle issue is real and should be addressed but I'm not reducing the score by 20% because of a handle that I will rarely use. The magnetic straps do twist around quite a bit (the nature of a free swinging strap mechanism). But they're magnetic! Bonus points for being awesome. If they twist up, I actually like popping them off and hearing them click back on. But here is the real deal. The review above me said it doesn't stand up and falls over. It's not a verified purchase so I'm not sure what that's about. The bag stands up! Laptop, no laptop, whatever! I toss it on the floor in the office and it's planted like a brick! It's voodoo (or maybe just some weird way I packed it). This isn't a simple bag. It's THE bag!

After two trips I can say I absolutely love this bag. It has a compartment for everything and is so well thought out for a modern bag wheather on your shoulder or slipped on to your suitcase handle. The zippers are tight and high quality, and I was amazed how well it accommodated my gaggle of electronics, etc. I've carried a Tumi for years but I am a big convert to this bag. I love that it feels sleek and not frumpy.
