We gave one to a 5 year old girl the other day again and her 8 year old brother wanted one for his birthday too! It seems like a hit with both boys and girls and it is perfect to take to a camping trip. Our kids always fight over stuff but since kids can draw on both sides, they have so much fun drawing together. And I am a big fan of Faber-Castell art stuff for its quality and colors. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gift for kids! Review: Fun set that my 5 year was excited to receive - Fun set that my 5 year was excited to receive. He is forever asking for paper to draw on. He was a fair amount of markers, an outdoor easel, etc. But this is a nice compact set for keeping in his small bedroom. The tools are just right for a 5+ year old. I wouldn’t recommend them for a younger child as they are quite compact/travel size. The drawers operate with some sticking but my 5 year old had no problem opening and closing them. He was able to draw using the colored pencils and other tools. The chalkboard was fun as well, just be prepared for the chalk dust. My son was unable to clip a sheet of paper onto the easel on his own, and the sheet kept slipping off of the clips but it was a minor annoyance as he just stabilized the sheet against the white board. One last thing I’d like to point out is that the whiteboard/chalkboard eraser is really scratchy/low quality. I’d look into replacing it with a smoother eraser. We will do so eventually. My son didn’t complain, but I know the eraser will be the first thing to wear out. Overall, I still give this item 5 stars for the value and amount of items you get. I’m also a big fan of the way all of the items store in the case. I also like that the unit uses standard size 8.5x11 paper. Other items I was shopping used odd sized paper. ## Features - ART EASEL FOR KIDS - Color, draw and explore the world of art with the Faber-Castell Travel Easel! It is the white glossy surface side with the purple clips. The clips will hold art paper in place when choosing to draw on paper, which is placed over the white board. **Q: Does it.hold regular sized color penciles** A: Yes **Q: What size paper fits inside? Does 9x12 fit? Thanks!** A: It comes with a pack of paper. However the white board is 8 1/2 by 12 inches so 9 x 12 would hang over 1/2 inch. We have been using normal copy paper once the original pack was used up. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great gift *by S***E on September 21, 2022* We gave this to our kids’ friend for her 6th birthday, and our daughter asked for one for her 9th birthday. The only thing I don't like is that Faber castle cheap out with drawing pad. The paper in the pad is toilet paper quality . Gray and very thin. Not something you could use with pencils or markers. ## Frequently Bought Together - Faber-Castell Do-Art 3-in-1 Travel Easel - 30 Piece Tabletop Easel for Kids with Art Supplies, Multicolor - Faber Castell Sketch Pad - Faber-Castell World Colors How to Draw Faces Kit - Learn to Draw Portraits for Beginners - 40 Piece Skin Tone Coloring Pencils and Paper Art Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2631257-shop-here](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2631257-shop-here) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
