This book is essential for middle and high school math teachers. The activities are brilliant for introducing the concept of variables and essentially the purpose of algebra.

This book is full of patterns that lead to linear equations. This is a great introductory activity for algebra. Using these patterns, helps the students move from the concrete pictorial representation to the more abstract equation and table representations.

If you're a math teacher, this is a great resource for functions. Meets common core with the open-ended questions. Really needed it in my collection especially with its pattern word problems.

It has many different ways to practice finding patterns. There are more for lower level than upper level. Mostly 5th to 7th and some 8th.
