Greatest idea for a small dog who cannot walk long distances but her owners wish to go hiking with her! Her head pops out and she is safe from hopping out when excited, but comfortable and enjoys this immensely. She isn't the type to like being cooped up but her high obeservation viewpoint makes it a must for her. We LOVE it!

This bag is so excellent! It’s an upgrade from the last version that I had this one is much more comfortable. You can wear it on the front or the back. And I’ll just tell you when you’re wearing it on the front side and you walk into a shop with your little baby in front of you. It’s like you’re a freaking superstar when you walk in there everyone is so happy to see you and actually they’re just happy to see your dog, but it seems like they’re happy to see you and that’s good enough for me. This is something I could not be without it’s an absolute necessity for me.

Fits my girl well. She's comfortable, which is hard for her since she's 17 yrs and often has aches/pains. The only improvement would be to shorten the shoulder straps. Tightening all the straps (shoulders, chest, and waist) still leaves a gap at my shoulders, making her sag against my lumbar, which is uncomfortable. I'll have to modify it to make it fit me right. However, I have a petite frame and this may not be an issue for others.

This works great for my 8 lb terrier mix. I take her on rides on the eBike. There is a good amount of room inside and she is comfortable. I like the base you can add to the bottom of the backpack so there is more support. I have a smaller torso but the backpack adjusts easily to fit me or anyone else who may take our terrier for a ride.

My dog seems to really enjoy this bag, aside from the initial confusion when trying to put him into it. After he figured out that this is a good thing and not some kind of cone, he loved it. He’s a pretty anxious guy and I think he liked the feeling of being able to relax and be comfortable while still being held. Seemed nice and breathable which will be nice for hiking and camping.My one note is the Velcro that attaches the hard bottom to the bottom of the bag were sewn in perpendicular to one another, so they only connect in one spot. However the bottom is still nice and secure so I don’t think it will cause any issues.

I have it for emergency to carry pet but mostly just carry his stuff in it!

I loved all of the pictures and descriptions in the ad for this front (or back) pack which is what prompted me to purchase it. However, when you receive it, there are zero instructions. If you don’t immediately figure it out, you are going to get frustrated and waste time with the multiple straps. I just wish there had been any instructions at all (a diagram.!!!) because once I finally figured out which straps were supposed to go where, I realized how much better of a product this actually was… please include basic instructions to save people some energy and time.

I have used this backpack multiple times now since I ordered it. It took me two uses to figure out how to get the straps adjusted and learned to strap in my dog. Which turns out to be very important! The first time I used it, my dog leaned forward, tried to climb out the head hole and almost fell out, while on my back!! There is a hook to attach to your dog's collar, inside the backpack, make sure you use it! Next it took time to figure out the straps. The padded straps are very nice. The only downside to the backpack is that you can feel the heat transferring from your dog to you. I got really warm carrying my dog wearing a sweatshirt. If your dog is warm, you will be warm!!! Sweaty almost!! I bought the backpack for hiking with my dog and for taking him inside shopping stores. There is a large sign out front of one of those stores I "tested" now that says "absolutely no dogs allowed." He never even caused any problems inside any of the stores. And he is a registered service dog, so that rule cannot apply anyway. Please think about your dog if he or she is protective in their kennel....their head sticks out the top of the backpack, while the rest of their body is inside. If your dog doesn't like being pet in their kennel, they might not like to be pet while inside the backpack. There is not much room to lay down in while inside the backpack, but a toy size dog might be able to. So, give your small to medium size dog a walk or rest break after sitting inside the backpack for awhile. I love the colors of the one I bought! The fabric is well made. The backpack is easy to use. I recommend using treats and slowly introduce your dog to getting inside the backpack. Sticking my dog directly inside was a struggle. So I tried laying the backpack down, making a trail of treats and letting my dog go inside of it and sniff around. Then i started scooping him into the backpack. After a few tries, with lots of treats with this, he was ready to sit inside. I also recommend setting the backpack on a table or a tailgate to put it on your back. Sounds silly, but makes it easy to just put your arms into the straps and go! My dog is about 7 pounds, but I'm weak at lifting up and had some trouble with it. If you have strong arms, might not be an issue. I found I could carry my dog for about 2 hours, then we took a break. We look forward to more fun in the backpack!!
