Arrow 186 T18 3/8-Inch Leg Length, 3/16-Inch Crown Size, Staples 1,000 Count

These are the "long legged "Telephone Inside Wire staples which fits into the ACME Model 18A Stapler.The staples have the "round crown" that fits nicely over inside phone wire (Cat 3 or 5 wire) and does a nice job of interfacing with the wire without destroying same. These staples come in a couple of "leg lengths". These 11mm staples are the long version making a good, stable attachment to wood or sheet rock (wall board) possible. The shorter version doesn't do sheet rock very well and the wire tends to fall off the wall after a bit. Both the short and long version (11mm) fit into the 18A stapler. Go for the long version (11mm).How do I know this rarefied information? I was a Pacific Telephone Phone Repairman for 8 years before I grew up and became an PacBell/SBC/AT&T Microwave Radio Technician. I can still staple up a wire so straight that it's mind-boggling.Nice Staples.

My T18 stapler is probably 30+ years old. Theses staples work well with it

Spent a LONG time looking around for staples for my industrial-strength stapler. (I think it had sat dormant for more than 10 years!) Luckily, found it on Amazon after visiting two of our large-box DIY stores in the area. No luck there, but Amazon offered exactly what I needed. I've since used these staples for tacking up fence wiring that had buckled away from wood posts. Also used it to attach some electric garage door opener wiring to the wood facing near the door. Does a great job, and because of the little tunnel-shaped spacer on my staple gun, it doesn't crunch the wire while attaching it tightly. You may find that the staple prongs come in two lengths. I bought the longer lengths, thinking they would do a better job of holding the material.

They work and Fit our older Staple Gun.

First of all, if one needs to staple 3/8" cable, then these "3/8" staples aren't going to fit. One might imagine that "T18" means something too, but it's not millimeters I suppose that it MIGHT be crown size, but the listing shows the crown size as "3/16-inch", which would be 0.1875", not 0.18". That might be what they were thinking about, but in actual fact, they measure almost exactly 5mm wide inside, so neither the model number nor the description reveals the actual size..Since I myself was unable to get a straight answer I would like to share that these T18 staples do work as a replacement for Tacwise CT-45, which BTW is an easier to understand naming convention, since they are 4.5mm wide. The Tacwise 1153 staple gun is also known as "Metal Combi 2-in-1" which hints that it works with multiple lengths and widths of staples, including both T18 and T25 Arrow. Amazon's multi-variation listings confuse both questions and reviews across all variations, so it one can easily be misled.I knocked off a star for the silly naming convention and for the weak packaging that couldn't survive shipment is a bubble envelope. If the staples weren't all smashed and broken, I think they would be fine.

It was just what I needed

I have seen some people who are confused about this stapler and staple. It is for wiring and the staple has a round top, it used to be commonly used by telephone workers who ran landlines into homes. It's perfect for my needs.

Every row of staples was broken making them pretty much useless for an Arrow staple gun, whether they are a T50 or amT18 It like the box had been dropped multiple times on the ground to make them broke.Everybody that uses arrow staplers know what I am talking about. The staples and staplers are designed for 1 row to fit perfectly in the gun.The T18s are hard to find that’s why I went Amazon I won’t next time.
