Great leash- strong and easy to slip on/off your dog. I have a 70lb hunting dog and this helps keep him close when his prey drive is activated.

I love this lead! I have three dogs, a 65lb husky, a 75lb pit bull and a 40lb pitsky and although I was skeptical at first that it would help give more control during walks, it worked well on my husky and pitsky and does discourage them from pulling hard which makes walking them easier. Before this I was using a regular leash, and my husky would sometimes somehow manage to get unhooked from his leash during walks so this lead took away a lot of worries for me since you loop it around their head. However, if you are looking for a replacement lead for a very strong puller, this might not be best. My pit still powers through and pulls like mad with this lead, and it’s because she has such loose skin around her neck that it won’t sit where it’s supposed to to discourage the pulling. The lead is supposed to rest behind the pup’s ears and above their throat so it doesn’t choke them, and this helps you maneuver them. The quality is good - the lead itself is made of thick rope. I’ve took them on numerous walks and no signs of fraying yet. Had this for about a month now. I would recommend this lead.

I have been using these type of leads for larger breed dogs. This is the first I purchased for a smaller dog. Using the longer, larger width leash on dogs like Huskies and Labs, is good. Dogs are stronger, and you have more dog to wrap making your leash stretch farther. This specific leash I just purchased is being used on a Welsh and mini Schnauzer- not as strong, smaller dog, much less body to wrap. The leash isn't flimsy, just not as stiff; the material is a little softer, good for our little ones; and the thickness is just a little less than bigger ones so it fits the small dog bodies nicely. The 5' is a perfect length, gives you some walking room but not too far. (Save the 6' for big dogs. They need the extra length to wrap their bodies.) *I didn't go to the very small width. After using these with the kennel and personal dogs, "my personal opinion", I would suggest that for your smaller dogs like Yorkies, etc.

Wish I would've skipped all the other leashes I've purchased in the past and just gone straight to this one. I have a black chow who loves to pull whenever she sees a bird/squirrel/anything that moves. We previously used a traditional leash with a collar, a top hooking harness, and a front hook harness. The front hook harness was the best in terms of controlling her when she started to pull, but didn't actually prevent her from pulling. With a quick tug of this slip lead, she immediately stops. However, and maybe this is because my baby Charlie is very stubborn, she hasn't quite figured out yet to stop pulling all together since we started using it almost a month ago. So that still needs some work on our part, but overall it's been great so far. I love how simple this product is - no fussing around with trying to hook the leash onto her harness (which, with her fur can be quite difficult sometimes) and the fact that there's only one thing you need to put on/take off when going for a walk makes life much easier, even if just a minor detail. And last, I love the way the black roping and the brown leather look together! This leash looks great, prevents Char from pulling, and is definitely more than worth the money at ~$10!

Great slip lead except I think the material is too silky for the lock to stay as well as other leashes. If the fibers were roughed up a little, I would give this 5 stars. It sees heavy use as my personal leash for walking dogs at a shelter. I need my lock tight and this one slips. Not a ton; I trust the lock, but wish it stuck better. This is mostly only an issue when I'm walking them harness style with the lead looped across the chest and behind one leg. Their movement causes the lock to slide so I have to be very careful and readjust as needed. The lock is fine when I'm using the leads on their necks. I would buy this lead again. Good price, comfortable to use for hours at a time, the material doesn't burn my skin while it constantly rubs my skin. That's worth a lot! Other leashes have given me rug burn but this one doesn't.

I have four dogs and am always training them or taking them to a training class. This lead is so handy to quickly put on and take one of them to class or anyplace outside my home. It is very thick, so it does not slip from the top of their necks very easily and it does not hurt the neck of my smallest dog, a Shihtzu - Maltese mix weighing 12#. It is equally as good for my largest rescue dog, a Dutch Shepherd mix, who came to me untrained. I first observed him wearing a Gentle Leader which did not control him at all, and he was lunging and biting at every passing dog at the pet store. With slip-lead training, I can put this on him and take him anywhere under control. It is also handy to keep at your front door for the unexpected visitor and a barking, or jumping dog. Don't throw away whatever regular collar and leash you have for your dogs, but add this as a useful addition which will save you time and frustration.

Para el uso diario es muy práctica ya que al ser quita-pon es muy fácil ponerla, ajustarla o amarrarla a un protector etc. La calidad es un nylon que se siente muy resistente y suave al mismo tiempo, aguanta bien la intemperie (lluvia, lodo, sol) y con una lavada queda presentable de nuevo.

Recommended for all dog owners. This is definitely a leash you'd want to have. It especially helps with dogs who always try to take lead. It's a good training leash to have. I love the quality and feel it gives me as the owner and my dog seems to prefer this rather to his body harness.

My dog is a German shepherd and for the first year I really struggled to get her walking nicely. And overtime she started to bark and lunge at other dogs. Of all the tools and methods I've tried, the slip lead has worked the best. I now get my dog from barking and lunging to sitting and waiting for the other dog to approach. I highly recommend one of these leashes and a good instructional video if your having leash problems.

This lead was exactly what we were looking for. He tended to pull quite a lot on extendable lead, this has totally cured when on figure of 8. Great material and length great. Our dog is a Welsh Springer spaniel around 23kg so got thicker size.
