Since this is the first review for this item, I will try to be as in depth as possible. If you are familiar with Hot Water On Demand heaters, than you know they are just that. They provide warm or hot water in about 10 seconds or less. This unit is certainly no different and did not disappoint. I had bought this item when it was $325, and received a partial refund when the price dropped the next night. Then, when my father took it on a trip to keep the water warm on the 6 hour drive home, it quit. I was quite disappointed initially, until I discovered that I had missed a very important safety feature of the unit. What I did not know is that when the pump cannot deliver enough water through the heater, it will automatically shut down. It clicks a few times, and then shuts off entirely. Like I said before, I was disappointed, but then turned very pleased when I discovered this feature. Thanks!

All around, don't buy this thing until the fix all the flaws in it. Also, it has a 12 volt charger, but no AC charger. Just poorly designed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How easy would it be to extend the shower-head hose?  Is it a standard-size that I could find an extension for easily?**
A: I bought 3/8th by 1/2 in diameter tubing from Menards. Swapped the hardware. And now I have a 15ft hose for my shower head. Was not difficult to swap.

**Q: can you turn the water flow off at the shower head?**
A: No the water has to be continuous running for the heater to work.

**Q: Coleman is avoiding the GPM on this unit. my question is what else are they not telling.**
A: I sent mine back.  Coleman, flow rate was sufficient, and is largely dependent on the input pressure. YOU are the igniter for the Coleman.
 I chose instead to return my Coleman, and purchased a Triton on-demand.  The Triton is self igniting (D cell batts) and has an internal flow sensor.  So, add batteries, hook it up to a water and propane source, and you have instant hot water when you turn the valve.

**Q: Does battery disconnect for easy charging?**
A: Only the elite model has the battery disconnect.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this little heater

I love this little heater! It worked great, and the water got hot. It didn't use much propane. We did about 10 5-7 minute showers, and there was still some propane left in the 1lb propane tank. The only issues are 1) water needs to be on to get the heater going (no auto ignition), 2) the quick connect fittings seem flimsy (a piece of plastic fell off on the 3rd connection try) and I don't think you can find them anywhere. I just left them on and used the 1/2" hose to connect and disconnect.
