| Taste Description | Bold, tangy, and deeply savoury – this traditional Korean kimchi delivers a vibrant punch of flavour in every bite. The natural fermentation process creates a pleasantly sour, slightly fizzy finish, while fish sauce adds layers of umami richness. |

Great Taste
Lovely flavoured Kimchi. Not too hot .... by my standards anyway. I make my own as well which can get very hot! Texture really nice. Overall a lovely quality product.

Avoid like the plague
This should be zero stars,I have never ever tasted or smelt something so rank! I worked at Samsung as a chef for quite a while and we had a lady that would come and cook korean food for the korean visitors and CEO of Samsung, and the korean president,at the same time we would cook for the rest of the company, and she introduced me to kimchi, really legit kimchi,I have been chasing that flavour forever since! This product is thee most disgusting thing I have ever tasted, its rotten! Not fermented! And I wouldnt recommend this to someone that's starving! I ate a couple of chopsticks full and have never felt so unwell! Ocado have started doing a kimchi in a pot that's pretty authentic but still I haven't found anything like the beautiful korean lady showed me. We didn't speak each others language, but we would swap food for each other to try with smiles and respect for each others work. I just wish I had learnt her recipe! I will continue to make my own,as 16 pounds is ridiculous for something inedible, rotten, with a busted seal, and veggies that don't even belong in kimchi!who is this companies CEO? 100% should be sacked before you kill someone! This is dangerous food. DO NOT BUY!

TASTY, HEALING & HEALTHY
we have always been very happy with the taste of this product. sadly like others we have experienced leakage and this does create a smell but the quality of the product has still been fine and tasted good otherwise we would have complained. we want to give a 5 for this even with these as we use this product for our health and healing and to get quality home made products that are raw is very hard and we would love to see this range continue as we do find it very yummy, healthy and healing! just about acceptable but not the best
To my taste product is too heavy on the sardine fish sauce. Dashi is the preferred or at least additional fish product in most recipes I have seen (including my own). Also fresh grated chillies would be a great improvement on processed (dried) cayenne powder) and it is a bit lacking in sweetness. It is fairly expensive so I would expect fresh ingredients wherever possible. I added a sachet of Dashi no Moto mixed into half a cup of good quality mirin and reprocessed into Kilner jars, though there is nothing that can be done about the chilis without creating too much heat.

Powerful stuff
I also found some liquid had leaked out - I guess that is a hazard with an unpasteurised product. It does have a strong smell - the fish sauce is a noticeable (traditional) ingredient. I definitely like it and logged on to order some more - unfortunately out of stock. I decided to add this review after seeing there was only one review that was not positive. Need to find out where else I can order it from....

Good quality, great taste
Excellent, consistent quality, as with all this company’s products. It comes very securely packed and I’ve had no problems with breakage/leaks so far. It's not the cheapest available, but quality often costs. I really like the taste and texture - I’m on my eighth re-order now. Unpasteurised, so the flavour deepens and improves if you keep it for a few days before using, but that takes more willpower than I can usually muster. I have no idea how “authentically Korean” this kimchi is (recipes and flavours vary tremendously across Korea), but TBH I don’t really care. I’m not one of those who sample one variety and become an instant expert on what kimchi must be like.

Can't stop eating it!
A little spicy but I like spicy food. Honestly I can't leave it alone. Delivered on 6th May pm and by 6 pm I'd eaten a quarter of the jar. Finished it yesterday after restraining myself for 2-3 days this week. Worried I'm addicted to it! Nice crunchy texture. I feel a lost better as well and expect to be buying it regularly.

Not kimchi. Smells and tastes like vomit
Bought this once and was lovely. They ran out of stock and then next time they had it in stock I bought again. Last two times the very smell of taking the lid off made me vomit. Disgusting. Ruined a perfectly tasty item by changing it somehow and now it consistently smells/taste like vomit. Never buying this product again.

Sauer eingelegt statt fermentiert?
