Excellent product, very reasonable price. Perfect for my Canon FS100. Received it two days after ordering, exactly as described, very neatly packaged and very professionally looking. It also came with several requests for suggestions on how to improve the product. Good feel for customer service and product support. Didn’t check it on time but although I knew the connector was unique, I assumed the new charger could also be connected to the camcorder, as with the charger I lost. When I opened the box and didn’t see the connector, I again assumed that I would not then be able to use the old batteries. Wrong assumptions and totally irrelevant. The batteries can be charged away from the camcorder. The new batteries are exactly the same shape as the old ones and so now I have four batteries, instead of two. When I started looking for the new charger, I was keen on getting the same connector but then I just lost the focus and ordered. I think that a comment in the description of the product, like “Batteries can be charged away from the camcorder” would allay any fears that potential buyers, like me, may have. I also got an additional charging cable for the car, which I didn't have. Kudos to Kastar

The customer service is very good. I had a problem with one battery and they sent a replacement right away. The battery fit could be better. It seemed an alignment or tolerance issue for the contact slots. Batteries seem to have enough power and length of time though.

Don't know about longterm, but right now working well.

Bought these batteries since Canon FS200 batteries are starting to fade and needed a car charger (and also plugs in to 120/240v). Charger works with both Kastar and Canon batteries. Batteries fit well in the camera and work well. First try the new battery wasn't recognized by the camera but removed and replaced and it worked fine. So camera will keep track of charge and could be used to charge these batteries. Batteries also seem to have decent terminals - I bought previous after-market batteries and the terminals were flimsy and bent when inserting into the charger, causing problems when installing in the camera. Not a problem with these. I would certainly buy these again.
