Lancome Paris Definicils used to be my favorite mascara but this has firmly booted Lancome and its heftier price tag out of my life! With 2 coats my lashes are thicker longer and now going to be more healthy since this is a more natural mascara!

Loving the ease this wants to adhere to the lashes- staying wet just long enough to manipulate into place. I’ve had no clumping or smudging… BUT, I find the trick to success is in how this gets applied.. I find its best when applying in 2 layers. Don’t go crazy trying to get the finished effect on the first swipe. put on, let it all but dry.. then, give it x1 last finishing touch up-positioning layer!Following this process keeps things from clumping and will actually give you the individual lash look and volume most of us are after.. (similar to nail polish- 2 regular coats add up to one deep colored and solid finished look.. x1 fat coat just globs and messes up- the same holds true for this mascara.. trust me, you thank me later when you get the look you’re after!)Created with natural ingredients- this mascara is made to nourish the lashes.. and I speak for myself but as delicate as my lashes are, I’m always a fan of something healthy to heal/sustain them!! As for growth- I’ve not noticed any. Albeit, it’s only been a few wks.. In science terms: a healthier item is more prone to grow- so, I feel confident if this truly promotes “growing lashes” it’s thru a healthy lash.I also find.. the removal process is far easier then the alternatives.. the moment I hit warm water in the shower, mascara begins to give way without scrubbing, pulling or chemical remover.. which is also a healthier process for the lashes as well. No- I would not consider this waterproof!Overall, this is higher priced at $28- and one I’d only recommend for those looking to invest in doing some healthy therapy for their lashes. Until recently, I had given up wearing mascara because both my eyes and the skin around them became sensitive to too many cosmetic ingredients. This Emani volumizing mascara is one of the few I can wear without a reaction. I like that it doesn't smudge, although it does start to flake off hours after application. Mostly, though, it stays on my lashes for the whole day. As with any mascara, applying two coats helps with the volumizing appearance.I can't say whether the "serum" in the formula helps lash growth because I haven't seen any difference. Then again, I haven't been using it for that long. The directions are a bit confusing because it seems to imply that you apply two products with two different wands, one after the other, even though you get only the mascara and its wand.If you have sensitive eyes like mine, I recommend giving this a try. Cosmetic sensitivities are personal, however, and what I can wear, you might not be able to. For instance, the mascara contains soy, and many people are allergic to it. I REALLY LOVE that this mascara is Vegan. So many even natural brands out there contain beeswax. So that is great that this is Vegan. The not-so-great thing is that this mascara doesn’t hold up for the work day. It applied well in the am. I thought it might be messy as the wand brush is a bit fat – but no – it worked well and applied nicely and my lashes looked great when I left for work. Fast-forward to the end of my work day when I glanced in a mirror. There was a huge smudge below one eye and an even larger smudge above the same eye. : ( Wonder how long I was walking around like that… Then I really looked at the lashes themselves and they look much less “made-up” then when I left the house. They looked much more “natural” by end of day – although I could still see some mascara on the lashes – it just looked like much less than the morning. So, sadly, this mascara is just OK for me. I have a lot of trouble wearing mascara. This is the first mascara that does not irritate my eyes at all. It does not flake off. Not sure why that other reviewer said it flakes off because it absolutely does not flake off!One thing I really like about this mascara is the unique wand. The product page photo doesn’t do it justice, so I am including my own photo. You can see that it is an irregular which works so much better than the straight-type wands on most mascaras.The product goes on really smooth and even - clumping! It has a castor seed oil base and this is why it goes on so well.It also has some really nice herbal botanicals that are very good for the lashes. I have noticed a big difference in a short amount of time.The bottle is quite large, much larger than average mascara brands.This product is made in the United Kingdom. The ingredients are pure, healthy, and freshI am 💯 100% happy with this mascara and I think it is a very good price for how well it works for me!
