Cooler is well insulated, ice & water stay cold for hours. We used water & frozen plastic water bottles 8 oz. or 16.9 oz. We exchange frozen bottles out of cooler maybe twice a day. This made system easier to use, by using frozen bottles verses ice.The hose is made of heavy rubber- can be stiff , but still works good . We haven't has any issues of water leaking from hose. I've been using system for 3 weeks now. in the picture you can see shoulder bladder expanded- its on (30 minute timer) I just lay bladder over/around my shoulder where needed. I do put a towel on my shoulder - under bladder. its very cold against your skin. I'm sleeping better with having this system.I had rotator cuff surgery, remove bone spur & repaired muscles. I would buy this product again.

Don't hesitate to order this for comfort and ease following shoulder surgery. Once filled according to directions, it stays cool for a full day. The shoulder pads is the perfect suze.Most suggest using frozen water bottles instead of ice cubes that melt too quickly. You can also freeze large chunks of ice in any freezer proof container.The ONLY change I would make is to redesign the placement of the timer, or give it a different cord. It doesn't stay in place for easy use. The timer itself is an excellent feature. It's just a design flaw for how and where it connects to the device.The handle and wheels are also convenient. The motor can barely be heard when it's running. That's a positive feature.

Bought for my recovery after knee surgery. Wish I had gone with the Ossur as we have to pick it up anyway and that one is smaller and has a temp control. I figured for the price I could get this one with more room for more ice. Not really worth it. Get the Ossur brand with the universal pad separately and save some money.Leaked from the connection for the power cord. Afraid to plug it back in again. Would get the Ossur brand next time.

The concept and the way the pump circulates ice cold water for much longer and convenient ice time is awesome BUT the shoulder bladder does not fit over my shoulder well to deliver maximum impact. I was using it prior to surgery and was OK with it. Post surgery where I need optimal icing, it does not work as great as I expected. Putting on the shoulder bladder also requires a second person. Hoping they can design a much more effective and secure shoulder bladder. Somewhat disappointed with the purchase.

My mom (78 YOA) had knee surgery almost two months ago. We've been using this since. It's helped significantly with the swelling &helps with the pain management. We got the bigger tanked one and have been very careful with the water lines, to avoid any leaks. It has a timer on the water pump n so that you can set it for 20 minutes on/20 minutes off, or any combination in 10 minute increments.I typically pour out the water in the tank, if it's warmed up; replacing it with cold tap water to a couple inches below the marked high water line (in the tank). Then I'll get 6 frozen 16 oz water bottles from the freezer and put them in the tank. It will keep the water at 32 degrees for about 8 or 9 hrs.We put the pad around her knee, with a kitchen dish towel between the pad and her skin so that's its not too cold to freeze the skin. It's convenient enough with the wheels & handle that she can pull it into the kitchen & change out the bottles herself (we keep a dozen plus frozen bottles in the freezer, so that we can swap them out as needed).

Had major shoulder surgeryThis thing saved me, I lived on it instead of pain meds.I was originally prescribed 30 pain pills, I have 16 left. My doctor was blown away I didn’t need a refill at my 2 week check up.I continued to use it all the way through my physical therapy.This machine is amazing and worth every cent.Used frozen water bottles and averaged about 6 hours of cold.

I had shoulder surgery for rotator cuff large tear and a partially disconnected bicep reattachment. They also removed particles in socket for more mobility. This ice therapy machine works awesome ice lasts over 24 hours. I freeze 16 oz water bottles and they last a long time. Water pump inside cooler very quiet barely hear it The timer device very easy to program. Some reviews I read said remote cord was too short I have not experienced that not a problem. I have dealt with customer service and that was an awesome experience I recommend this product five stars very helpful with recovery of surgery.

I was borrowing a friend’s machine after my recent knee replacement. It worked ok but required frequent ice changes and I was constantly trying to adjust the coolness by adding different thicknesses of covering between the bladder and my skin. I was tired of sending my family to the gas station everyday to get more ice! I purchased this unit mostly because you can use frozen water bottles instead of loose ice. But the feature I like the best is the timer! No more having to take the the bladder on and off because it gets too cold. Definitely recommend this product!! **Had a small problem with one of the straps and the customer service was fantastic!!! Cannot recommend enough.
