This is a great cheese slicer. I have had so many different ones, but this one really slices easily and keeps the cheese from getting all mangled. The blade is nice and sharp and slices easily through soft and hard cheeses. The handle is weighted so it's easy to use. This worked great on my cheddar cheese, and I'm excited to try it on some of the harder cheeses. I work in a deli,and buy a variety of cheeses regularly, so having a good solid knife that slices easily makes me happy. **I did receive this at a discount, in exchange for my honest review.

The blade is sharp and the plane is large so you're able to get wide slices, however, I feel like it slices too thick and drags across the cheese block. We use this for your typical cheddar/jack cheese block. I also much care for the handle, too thick and so it's difficult to maneuver.

I would have given this slicer a 4-star rating had it been able to slice all cheeses well. It works great for Swiss, Cheddar, and Provolone, but not great with Manchego, Mozzarella, etc. The handle is sturdy and it cuts better than a wire slicer.

It would no cut the cheese. the blade was to thick and not sharp as is needed to be.

Had a typical wire cheese slicer for many years but it broke recently on some Parmigiano Reggiano. I saw the high rating on this slicer so I purchased it. It turned out to be a great purchase and substantiated what other purchasers had said. It is sturdy and you can get a solid grip on the handle. It sliced through the Parmigiano easily. It's easy to clean and works well on all types of cheeses.

Appears cheaper than the one I lost, Slices okay with sufficient pressure.

I like this cheese cutter. I prefer the wire cutters but they do not last. Though this is not as smooth of a cut, this cutter is much more durable and will not end up in the trash as so many of the wire cutters we have had over the years.

I've never used a knife like this and really like it. I enjoy cheese when it's thinly sliced and it works perfectly. Plus, it's easy to slice a block of cheese quickly.
