DELTA FAUCET T13420-SSPDSOS Bathtub-and-showerhead-Faucet-Systems, Pack of 1, Stainless

Bought this stainless faucet set to replace old gold-tone hardware. You are only replacing the visible parts, while the plumbing itself (the pipes etc) don't change. The cartridge is included, BUT If you have an older home (mine was built in 2001), the included cartridge may not fit. Mine needed a Delta RP19804 - the give away is the physical size is different. I'd already installed one of these kits so I knew what was needed. The challenging part is getting the old handle off, cuz the set screw was covered in calcium scale. Since I was replacing the cartridge anyway, I took a sawzall and cut thru the cartridge stem to get handle off - it took 30 seconds. If u go that route, put a pad down in the tub to protect it from the falling handle and make SURE the water is off! The rest was easy.

So it looks nice, and easy to install if you are only minimally handy. However, the kit only includes parts for more recent plumbing. Older plumbing will require a longer trim sleeve, and it does not come with the kit. It costs about $20. See link below. Also, the cartridge that comes with it may not fit old installations either. Replaced a 20 year old unit with this. Looks 1000 times better and option were limited without replacing the valve. Recommend for anyone. Looks great and has great pressure

The Delta tub/shower trim set was a replacement for existing Delta trim and installed perfectly and looks great.
