The fine 'pins' on the back feel like they might break off at any time. There is no clasp, just straight metal sticks, with no sharpened point. And nothing to hold the crossed cannons to your hat or garment. Only time will tell if these hold up or not.

This fit my civil war cap that I use for reenacting.

Cheaply made. As a veteran who was trying to put together his old dress greens I was extremely disappointed. It might as well be made out of aluminum foil, it's three times the size it should be and it doesn't even have real pins on the back of it. Save yourself the time and hassle.

We went to a Civil War battlefield and picked up a Union cap but when I asked if they had the crossed rifles, they said no. After doing some research, I discovered that crossed rifles were not used during the Civil War. To be authentic you want the hunting horn for the infantry, the crossed cannons for the artillery or the crossed sabers for the cavalry. Some put the badge on the front but a lot of the photos have the badge on the top which is where I put it on mine. It looks really nice.

These are suppose to be pins….they are not. Do not buy.

as described. i wanted it for a model i was building. fyi, it has no pin or other attachment if you want to pin it on something.
