The pizzas were very thin cracker style crust and were evenly baked. On some of the pizzas I turned them half way through the baking cycle, others I did not. No one could tell the difference. YES, right from the first day. We bought some dough at the grocery store (have since been working on perfecting the homemade dough), fired up the oven, and we super pleased with the results. Some reviewers said it didn't get hot enough but the temperature can be affected by how you have the little lid on the chimney. We closed it a little to get the temperature up. Pro's: Heats quickly, relatively sturdy, domed design allows for roasting meats and baking breads Con's: They stone is a little too thin so there's a burn mark on the bottom of the crust in the shape of the heat source but you can avoid this by getting the heat very high before putting pizza in the oven and then lowering the flame to almost off. They pizza still cooks very nicely and the stone doesn't cool off so much that you can't add another relatively soon after removing the first. The biggest complaint we have is not regarding the oven itself as the oven works extremely well.
