Runs On Carpet, Runs Forever
Half our home is low pile carpet - quite warn but quite bumpy- and the other half is hardwood. The car speeds along and turns well on both surfaces. It even hops over the transition bumps with ease. The only obstacle it couldn't clear was a CAT-5 Network cable. One strip of packing tape over it, and the car could make it over the bump at high speed. I was amazed. I am also amazed at how long it runs on just two AA batteries (though they are high end ENELOOP rechargeables) Highly recommended for young children. My 6 year old daughter loves it and has played with it for long periods at a time, several days a week since Christmas. It has survived quite a beating, frequently hitting the walls.

A classic car at a super price
Buying this R/C car brought back a flood of great memories of growing up in a house full of life. A neighbor of mine had '67 Mustang that was painted solid red and it was boss! I rode in it only a few times for he only drove it in the summer so it would stay in mint shape as being from Buffalo NY our winters are harsh and road salt would eat this little pony alive. The seller processed my order super fast as it only took 1 full week (7 days) to get this order sent to me. he deserves more than 5*s, he has my blessings for bringing such fond memories from my youth, Thank you to the crew at Hobby Shack of Fountain Valley California!

***before you can get it out of the box, you need a precision philips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding these chunks of plastic to the car with the box between the two. just so you are warned. these days they are getting insane with the anti-theft methods to keep toys in their boxes. barbies with their hair stitched to the plastic part of their boxes. 5 year old not amused trying to open barbie christmas morning, 34 year old was not amused when he tried to get this car out of the box.*** my husband has wanted a remote control car forever now. he keeps showing me ones that cost hundreds of dollars that he wishes he had so he could chase the cats with it. we have 3 house cats at the moment and they like to play. i got him this one cause it was under #20 when i ordered it. i figure this is toy that is going to be driving all over my floors, off the linoleum onto the carpet and back again as he screws with the cats and gets them to attack it. and i was completely right. the cats dont know what to think of it, one tries to hold it down so it wont move and she can sniff it, but hubby backs it up and spins it around to behind the cat and my cat chases it to try to hold it again. our youngest cat pounces it as it goes around the corners of furniture. and our oldest smacks it with her paw like she is punching it. lol its all very cute. as for the durability, it seems to be doing good mechanics wise, but eats up batteries, and charging rechargables for it doesnt seem worth the effort. so i bought him a 20 count of batteries and when he is out, then he just has to start playing with his laser light to get the cats to make him laugh, until we get paid again. this car is an indoor only car for our household. my husband says "you can run it into stuff and it bounces back pretty good" if that is helpful to anyone considering buying this. he likes that it has a switch type thingy on the bottom that is for alignment. he was so happy when he opened it, flipped it over and saw that. lol educational value, um, hand eye coordination i guess. if used differently by other people, maybe you can find other values. i just laugh at the cats and my husband having fun. *side note, we live on a half acre, and my husband was wanting a rc vehicle that could handle the rugged insanity that is our backyard. that is what i was first searching for but couldnt find anything with good enough reviews and for a price i am willing to pay. if you have any suggestions on a rough and tumble rc vehicle that doesnt make a ton of noise while running or anything else highly annoying, please let me know. he has a birthday every year, his age goes up, but he acts younger. thank you.*

Pretty good for donuts.
This little RC Mustang is pretty fast and can cut up the tile floor really well. For a $20 purchase, it looks really nice and makes a nice shelf piece or a gift to the young'ins. The suck part is that the alignment on this thing is horrible. You can't keep this thing on a straight line without it turning into a big donut. However, it does make really tight turns that will make you wish you can do that to your real car. Also there is no gradual acceleration on this thing. One press and it's ready to hit 88mph, heading back in time. Also, the rear wheel, which is where all the power is from, seems to get caught in a spin out (like a burnout but there's no decent rubber on this thing). The wheels are covered in rubber but the tractions seems to be useless. (If I'm bored, maybe I'll run a hot soldering iron over the tread and see if that helps or not.) The controller is a simple press forward/backward buttons with a steering wheel. Also, the radio signal seems to be more of a line of sight, so you gotta be able to point that antenna at the car. Even then, I still lose signal after it zips off more than 15 feet. Overall, while it's fun to play with -doing them fancy turns and stuff, my only pet peeve is that it can't go straight without some kind of steering intervention either by adjusting the alignment settings on the car or constantly tweak the RC steering wheel. Even then, the steering isn't set up for fine tuning either - usually its a hard turn. Still good toy to entertain the toddlers or terrorized the house pets.

Cute little remote control Mustangs.
My husband and I thought these were good gifts for our nephews. One of my husband's cars is a '67 Mustang, so it was fun to give these as Christmas gifts. The kids enjoyed them. I probably downgraded the durability a little bit because these are being played with by 2nd and 3rd graders and I thought there was some room for the kids to damage them easily. But they worked great and arrived from the vendor very timely.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
Very disappointed that I bought 2 different Maisto rc cars for my boys for Xmas, after researching them both & both vehicle descriptions saying that each vehicle has MULTIPLE frequencies so Maisto cars can race against each other, only to find out as they open their presents that there is in fact NO switch or different frequencies of any kind. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Now, if you're only purchasing ONE ....these car are GREAT, however considering their purpose in my home & the mislabeling in the descriptions of both cars based upon principal - I would NOT buy these again!

Esperaba que estuvieran más grandes y potentes para poder correrlos con otros carros similares pero no fue así, ya por el tiempo de compra me los quedé como colección.
