This is a great sharpener for colored pencils! As a teacher, I’ve been looking for a sharpener that can handle colored pencils and not break on me. It’s the end of the year, and I just sharpened 500 colored pencils. This sharpener handled it like a champ. I had the lead break off in the sharpener only a handful of times, and it was easily fixed by turning the unit upside down and using a paperclip to dislodge the broken lead piece. One con that I will mention is that the shaving receptacle is quite small which means you have to empty it more often. Even with that in mind, I think it’s a great option.

This pencil sharpener is the perfect desk size, but you’ll need to plug it into an outlet. Placing the pencil in the hole to sharpen and suction is easy with no mess. The quality of the pencil after sharpening is long lasting, sharpens quick, and its lasts for years to come. Super easy to clean.

This sharpener is a total game-changer. It gives my pencils the perfect point every time—clean, fast, and without chewing them up. The build feels sturdy, and it handles both standard and colored pencils like a pro. Definitely exceeded my expectations!

I bought this sharpener primarily to sharpen Derwent charcoal pencils. Unfortunately. sharpener keeps on breaking the lead of the charcoal pencil. It doesn’t sharpen well. Plus it gets stock sometimes and it just wouldn’t sharpen any pencil at all. I was able to sharpen prismacolor pencils to a sharp point (sometimes not) and other regular pencils though. But my main reason for purchasing this is for my Derwent charcoal pencils that I simply couldn’t sharpen. Do I recommend it? For prismacolor colored pencils specifically …. maybe ( but I only sharpened 1 or 2 pencils so I can’t guarantee). For Derwent charcoal pencils or any charcoal pencils for that matter, NO. So I am returning it. However, this pencils, maybe good for regular pencils and hard core colored pencils. But it’s not what I need it for.And another thing… removing the clear case if you want to clean it, it was a struggle which is maybe one of the safety features it has.Overall, it’s still a good pencil sharpener. It’s just not for me … for what I need it for exactly.

Some reviewers said they found pencil shavings in the sharpeners they received. I found literally one pencil shaving in it when I opened it up and inspected. I assume it’s from the quality check test because it has a sticker on the bottom that says QC Passed. I don’t know how else they would check the quality without actually sharpening a pencil, lol. It works well and sharpened 72 pencils in a row with no problem. Only complaint is that shavings tend to get stuck in weird places if you sharpen a lot of pencils before emptying and take extra effort to clear. Not a big deal. Highly recommend!

very nice sharpener, could stand to be a little heavier. It moves around if you get too agressive with the pencil. Does a fine job sharpening.

I have been using this sharpener for years. It is compact, but it handles sharpening 20 pencils consecutively without an issue. It works well and is extremely durable.
