This is a fun word game. Can play with 2-6 players easily. Lot of action. Easy to bring along, doesn't have a big board that takes up room. Can play in pairs or single. Would buy for a gift for a *word* person.

This is a great game to play with friends or family. It's fairly easy to approach and learn the rules for, but can also get very competitive as everyone becomes accustomed to the rules and game style. It is a fast paced game, and might be challenging for younger players to keep up.

This game is great! Since we got it we play almost every day. It’s a fast paced game, something for the whole family and gets away from screens for awhile.

I ordered this product on a friend's recommendation, and was skeptical when it arrived. How could a little sack of Scrabble-ish tiles be as much fun as the time-honored master that IS Scrabble? The answer, uttered by my mother, summed it up: "I think I like this more than Scrabble." I have been very good at Scrabble for as long as I can remember, but in recent years I've balked at playing with my family during holiday visits. The flaws of Scrabble should be evident to anyone whose played at least once: the endless waiting for someone to play their turn, the table-pounding frustration of watching someone take "your spot", the fights over people thumbing through the dictionary to debate bogus word after bogus word, the teeth-grinding stress of building words for the sake of hitting double/triple spots rather than just long words, and so on. For me, Scrabble is a 3-hour time commitment that is more stress than it's worth. Enter Bananagrams. This gem takes the principles of Scrabble (words spelled across and down, interlocking, where every string of adjacent letters must form a word) and adds a furious pace that ends games in 2-4 minutes. It removes all the paint-drying boredom of Scrabble, turns up the intensity and speed to a scorching pace, and leaves you mentally exhausted after just a few minutes of play. Winning a close-fought game (like most of them) is immensely satisfying. There are also variants that are suitable for solitaire, longer play, and also less intense play. And its small size (can fit in a purse) makes it easy for toting to the restaurant for a few games while waiting for food. There is no board to play on, all you need is a flat surface. There is no advantage to knowing complex words with weird letter combos or every 2-letter word permutation (like in Scrabble), so this results in a very level playing field for mixed company of all ages. Highly, highly recommended. I haven't enjoyed a new game this much since Cranium...and Bananagrams is far simpler and more immediate.

From a family of competitive scrabble players, this game has us hooked. You aren’t sitting waiting for a turn, but everyone plays, and each round is quick, so if someone needs to step away they can easily join back in the next round.

Love this game! Our family plays it all the time. I like that you are all making your own grid of words. I don’t usually like word games, but this one I love. We even take it to restaurants to play sometimes

I’m addicted to this game. It is so fun and the more you play the more skilled you become. So much better than Scrabble.

Great game. But beware this version does not have the monkey tiles ( the wild tiles). I bought it as a second set and realized it was different to my first set. The game is slower and more difficult without the monkey tiles.

Our family has used Bananagrams as a good family engagement activity, and I have bought it again as a gift to another family - it makes an ideal choice for gift.

ce petit jeu tient dans 1 trousse : super pratique donc pour emmener en voyage! écolo aussi, (puisque pas d'emballage inutile ou encombrant...avec du vide partout)! les lettres sont agréables à manipuler et super solides : ne craignent rien ! pas besoin de beaucoup de place pour jouer : 1 simple tablette (de train par ex) suffit. jeu de lettres sympa à tout âge : on fait des parties courtes, donc personne ne se lasse. je l'ai même pratiqué seule, pour me détendre, avant de partir travailler. donc excellent rapport qualité-prix !je le recommande absolument !

This game is quick to set up and clean up, so we can play a few rounds or go for a longer time depending on how much time we have. It’s also compact in its cute banana case so travels well and is great to take to hotels or other places where you might want a game to play. An added bonus is that the tiles feel great and have a pleasing color!
