Too long and too weak, but comfortable and neatly sewn.
I needed these straps for a different purpose, and unfortunately they did not work for this. My young adult son's work requires shirt and tie professional dress, but he also needs to carry a leatherman multitool with him for various odd things. We were looking for a way he can keep the tool on hand without creating a bulge or worn spot in his slacks. Our aim was to find a band and sheath that he could wear around his ankle where the pant leg could go OVER the band and tool. The 2" width was perfect for a leatherman sheath, so that part was good. And the slim neoprene is low-profile and comfortable. But in our case we found these ankle bands to be too long - they could not wrap tightly enough around his ankle UNDER his pants. If we wrapped at the desired circumference, there was only a narrow overlap of the velcro hook end and loop end. In addition, the bands have very low strength. For pinning pants while biking, that is probably just fine, but when we attached the pocket-size multitool, which is only 8.5 oz, the whole band dragged down. Bummer. I just can't seem to find anything else for an ankle band, except for conceal carry gun holsters, which would probably not work for us either (too large and bulky).
