As far as I can tell, this is a hard sheet of ABS or HDPE plastic a little smaller than an A4 paper contained within a polyurethane coating. So it has the advantages of both materials, it is hard, rigid, with a yielding, pliable cover that grips the surface on which it is sat quite well and does not move about, yet the top allows the mouse to run quite smoothly over its surface. If I had any criticism at all, it isn't about the mouse mat, it's my wireless mouse that's the problem!

Early days but this seems spot on. Very responsive and accurate movement on my mouse. i got this to replace an old razer mouse mat and imo this is as good as the mouse mats selling for a lot more.*edit* the non slip base is actually a bit slippery, i have to keep repositioning the mouse mat as it moves around on the desk. still four stars as it's nice otherwise.

Very thin, so that your sleeve doesn't catch on it as you move you hand from keyboard to mouse, or as you push the mouse away from you. Very elegant-looking (I got the black one). Works well with my wireless mouse (very accurate tracking). Cleans easily. What's not to love?!

Looks as good as the images. The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars overall is that I use it on a glass desktop. The base of the mat doesn’t hold itself in position as well on glass as it might on other surfaces. The surface of the mat works well with an optical mouse but the textured surface does have a small effect on mouse movement. It’s very subtle but is occasionally noticeable. For looks it’s excellent and for general use it is fine but if you want a gaming mat, or you need pinpoint accuracy then this might not be for you.

My God, receiving this was it honestly felt like I was opening an exclusive collab between a tech company and a trendy Japanese designer. The packaging was so premium I was like, "This isn't any old mouse mat, this is an YSAGi mouse mat". The mat itself is pure joy ... I've bought a lot of mouse mats and I'm very fussy about tech; this one's superslim, unbelieveably sold, with a fantastic finish and feel. Plus...that wood finish....mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Unfortunately, my mouse (a wireless HP Z5000) doesn't work with this mouse mat, so I've had to switch back to using a wired mouse (a Dell MS116) which does. I'm not sure why one mouse works on the mat and another doesn't might be that the Dell mouse has an LED tracker. So, while the mat looks good, feels good, doesn't move about and seems robust, I can't give it more than 3 stars as it doesn't work with all mice.
