The One Ring will hold a charge for some time after being left in the light for a few minutes. It gets more powerful if charged with real sunlight or blacklight, but normal house lighting will allow it to charge as well. It gets weaker over time and, after the initial high glow period it will settle to a duller glow that can be seen for some time but only in total darkness. Note that the glowing time lasts several minutes in total darkness but you can always recharge it with your UV blacklight keychain. Very high quality!
This arrived yesterday and it's absolutely lovely! Very high quality work, the glow is awesome once it charged up, and the little UV keychain is great for instantly glowy gratification. My order still actually says it won't be here until May 13 per Amazon, but It's here and I'm very happy. My husband will adore it for his geeky birthday.

The ring is very pretty, it glow better with the wand. I put ring in sun it did glow a little bit, so you will have to put in direct sun for a long time for ring to really glow. Just know your size for the ring. Color is great love the ring.
