Works as replacement in EHEIM 2215
I know this is designed for a different model but I couldn't find the part for my 2215 so I got this. My filter is now silent again, and the flow is strong.

Surprise ending on reluctance due to prices
I don’t think the impeller has much to do with auction power if it’s working, e.g. that’s akin to how fast your car moves based on the tire you have on it. It’s more the job of the motor. But it does affect the smooth operation of how well it spins based on the motor working well with it. Remember there is a shaft also involved. I wasn’t sure why my eheim was making so much noise because the original impeller seemed be snug and I cleaned it a few times. I thought I’d take a chance and spend what I felt high prices for the impeller and shaft (both sold separately), but they were about my last ditch efforts. To my surprise they worked! Not super silent but a 90% improvement in noise! I can’t say if auction worked better or not as my eheim is not that powerful even though it’s rated for a tank twice the size I bought if for ((I may try it’s competitor if mine completely dies, or get one rated for a tank 3x my size tank). No matter how good something seemed to fit making you believe it can’t be what’s wrong it seems even the slightest imperfection will affect it’s operation. If you’re having noise problems try cleaning and lubing everything first, then replace if eheim impeller and shaft if there’s lots of noise; before you consider a new pump (motor of entire filter) as I did. Warning: the shaft is extremely brittle. Do not force it or do anything that could bend it in middle as it will snap, and need to dish out big bucks for another. Based on the price of the impeller, and shaft separately (and filter material), eheim products come at a premium. Not sure if their side by side competition has same high prices on parts and filter material. I have resorted to third party filter medium to save a ton of money over time - and they work contrary to fear they tey to instill to use only their products just ss printer companies try to convince you that installing third party ink cartridges is a no no - wrong. My eheim works great. It has run non-stop for over five years (except when cleaned) and in the beginning was more quiet. The prices are a bit high, but if is what the parts and products cost compared to comparable competitor filters and parts then so be it. Remember as I said there are third party sellers of filter material out there for stuff that works if you don’t have or want to drain your bank account. I am happy with my eheim.

Works perfectly
My Eheim 2217 started to make horrible grinding noises several years after I bought it second-hand. I took everything apart, cleaned it, greased moving parts with vaseline, shook it to remove bubbles, etc. but the grinding noises continued! Finally I bought this and replaced the impeller. Now it is BLISSFULLY SILENT yet again. :)

25 Year Old Filter
I have an Eheim 2217 that has been running for 25 years. This is only the 3rd impeller that I have ever replaced. Great unit.

It's the manufacturer's replacement part
After a bunch of years, my Eheim pump started rattling and losing pumping efficiency, annoying my tropical fish. This had happened with my other pump, maybe a decade ago, so I immediately knew it was the impeller. Bought the part, popped out the old one and popped in the new one, and in minutes, the pump was good as new. For those who may be intimidated, there are YouTube videos on how to change this Eheim pump part. It's easy!
