The revision cards are well-made, designed very nicely much like other CGP flash cards and cover a fair amount of key content for An Inspector Calls. It’s divided into 5 separate sections being: Analysis of Acts, Characters, Context and Themes, The Writer’s Techniques and Key Quotes. For the Analysis of Acts, there are 5 cards each for Act One & Two and 6 for Act Three. The scenes and key events covered on the flash cards loosely follow those mentioned in the CGP An Inspector Calls text guide and each topic is relevant, there’s also a summary card for each Act. For the Characters, it covers The Inspector (4 cards), Arthur Birling (2 cards), Sybil Birling (2 cards), Sheila Birling (2 cards), Eric Birling (2 cards), Gerald Croft (2 cards) and Eva Smith/Daisy Renton (2 cards). It covers all the main characters found in An Inspector Calls and mentions mostly everything you need. It would be nicer if there were more cards for every character other than the Inspector, if there were summary cards and if it included Edna. For Context and Themes, it covers everything you’ll see in the same section for the CGP An Inspector Calls text guide. This section goes over pretty much all the basics and is perfect for quick revision. For The Writer’s Technique, it covers stage work, dramatic techniques, Priestly’s use of language and language techniques. It, once again, follows the CGP An Inspector Calls text guide. It’s quite basic and should include more flash cards, but it serves its purpose. For Key Quotes, there are 16 of them. They’re all very good quotes but the cards don’t go into much detail as it can unfortunately. Overall, there are 63 cards and I recommend these flash cards only for quick revision.
