Colorful and cute
I have purchased several of these for gifts. It is the cutest book, with simple 'sounds' (i.e. crinkly), and fun for baby. The flaps are easy to lift & reveal the hidden animal. The bright colors are so eye catching and the animals have large eyes which catches the child's attention. It has a clip with it so it can be attached to strollers and car seats. Probably the best book I've purchased for baby showers; I get many comments on how much both parents & children enjoy it.

I love that it is a soft
Baby loves this book! Started reading it to him at about 5 months old, and he is 7 months old and still loves it. For now, he is engaged by the bright colors and crinkly "peek-a-boo" flaps within the book. I love that it is a soft, cloth fabric that he can chew on as he gets distracted with my reading, which often happens within about 30 seconds. The book seems to be made with good quality, and the drawings are very cute. It seems very durable with baby pulling and yanking on the pages, and it's nice that the "spine" of the book also has a handle that he can use to grab it with. The 3D plush owl on the front is very nice, and baby really enjoyed sucking on that part of the book at first too.

Peek-a-boo fun for your baby! Wonderful mass-produced cloth book.
Is it carefully, lovingly sewn like the quilt your baby's grandmother made in honor of your baby's first year of life? No. Is it a fun book that was sewn in a factory by workers who needed to get the job done and done fast? Yes. The book is great. It's high quality given the price point. It'll definitely stay together long enough until your baby doesn't need it anymore. (I'll update this review if I'm mistaken.) It's great for babies -- crinkly peek-a-boo flaps, animal pictures and names, rhyming sounds, colorful and eye-catching images, easy-to-turn pages to help develop motor skills. The book has a handle, so you can use your links to connect it to your stroller/carseat. I'm glad I bought it.

Peek-a-Boo Forest is a very cute book. See age guidelines below
The Peek-a-Boo Forest book (designed for ages 6m+) is very cute. Has very bright colors, and peek-a-boo flaps that lift away on each page to reveal a cute animal (e.g. move the tree to see the moose, move the leaf to see the owl, etc.). There are five two-page spreads - each asking "Who is hiding behind the [tree or whatever]?" on the lefthand side, then revealing an animal beneath a crinkly flap on the righthand side. The featured animals are a moose, an owl, a bear family, a raccoon, and a beaver. The front cover also features a bird with a raised, fuzzy, crinkly face. Between the bright colors, the repetitive peek-a-boo activity, and the simple text, this seems very age-appropriate for my 6mo old. And more importantly, he agrees - he loves it! Note that these books are designed for different ages (the ones targeting older babies have a bit more of a storyline, etc.). Here are the guidelines for all of the different books in the series as given on the packaging: 0m+ Panda's Pals 0m+ How do I Feel? 6m+ Peek-a-Boo Forest 6m+ Emily's Day 6m+ Farm Sounds 6m+ Little Big Top Circus 12m+ The Tale of Sir-Prance-a-lot 12m+ Captain Calamari's Treasure Hunt 12m+ Baby on the Go 18m+ Counting Zoo 18m+ Captain Calamari's Color Adventure

Quality book with colorful images and crinkly flaps
I'm reviewing the Peek-a-Boo Forest book. This is a fun cloth book. It's pricier than most other fabric books but it shows in the quality of the materials and construction. The pages are fairly large, the font is prominent and the verses rhyme. Each 2 page spread features a colorful scene with large crinkly peekaboo flap that reveals a forest animal. The cover has a cute 3D owl. Unfortunately, the crinkle flaps are the only features/activity in this book. I wish my daughter would be more engaged with the content of the book, but she's 5 months old and just wants to grab it and shove it in her mouth. I am hoping it has more potential as she gets older.

Great Book for Babies
My daughter loves this book. She is 9 months old, and we started using this at 6 months old. She likes it more now than when we started. It's nice that it's cloth, so it squishes well and she can't destroy it by chewing on it. Each two-page spread has a flap made of crinkly fabric that my daughter loves to crinkle. The text is short, and behind every flap there is a sentence that starts with peek-a-boo. My daughter likes it when we read it to her in an excited voice when we turn over the flap and see the animal hiding there. One thing I'm less excited about is the owl's head on the front. It's cute, but it makes the book bulky and so I have a harder time stuffing it in a small space when I'm headed out the door to work. (I always like to take some toys for the drive home from the care giver.) Overall, it's a great book for an older baby. We'll see if she still likes it when she's a little older.

Delicious Crinkle Book
I knew this was the toy/book for my child as soon as I read the description. She already had an obsession with a stuffed animal with crinkle ears, so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I was right. This book is very colorful and fun to read too (I bought the peekaboo version). This book was a bit bigger than I was imagining, this wasn't really a negative or a positive to me. I washed this before giving it to my 5.5 month old because I knew it would immediately end up in her mouth. I know the directions said not to, but I washed it with All Free and Clear in cold water on gentle and air dried. It held up just fine, but I still don't intend on washing it again unless absolutely necessary. She really doesn't care about what's behind the flaps at the moments, she just cares that the flaps crinkle when touched and feels good on her gums. Still the book is a decent read as far as baby books go, I have certainly read WAY worse. I'm sure as she gets bigger she'll really enjoy the interactive story much more.
