Featuring a 95 GPH adjustable pump and a reverse water flow design, it maximizes filter media performance by preventing channeling. Its durable acrylic construction supports various media types like phosphate resins and activated carbon, while versatile mounting options and included plumbing make it ready to install and optimize your aquatic environment. ## Description AQUATOP's MR-20 Multimedia Reactor maximizes the efficiency of filter media with a reverse water flow design that eliminates water channeling through the filter media. Install in sump or hang on the tank, this versatile reactor can be used for phosphate resins, phosphate sponges, activated carbon, nitrate sponges, and other resin filter media. The high-quality acrylic design makes this one of the most reliable media reactors available, and the MR-20 includes a pump and all the necessary plumbing. Review: Nice reactor, small enough for chamber on BioCube 29. - Was looking for a reactor that would fit in the back chamber of my BioCube 29 and this fit the bill. Pump has fairly low output as many reviewers have stated but it works for me so far with PhosGuard. A larger replacement pump is so cheap that I'm not concerned about the output. I'd buy it again. Review: Perfect for chaeto reactor - I bought this to use as a chaeto reactor on a 45 gallon saltwater tank without a sump. I wrapped some LEDs around it and put some chaeto in it. Works really well and only took about 10 minutes to set up. What makes this PERFECT for a chaeto reactor is that the inlet tube runs all the way to the bottom of the reactor, which forces the water to rise through whatever media you’re using. So for a chaeto reactor it forces all the water that flows through it the reactor to flow through the algae, which maximizes the effects of the algae. ## Features - EFFICIENT FILTER MEDIA: Aquatop's MR-20 Multimedia Reactor maximizes the efficiency of filter media with a reverse water flow design that eliminates water channeling through the filter media. - VERSATILE AQUARIUM ACCESSORY: Install in sump or hang on the tank, this versatile reactor tank can be used for phosphate resins, phosphate sponges, activated carbon, nitrate sponges, and other resin filter media. - ADJUSTABLE FLOW WATER PUMP: This fish tank reactor includes Aquatop’s SWP-230 adjustable flow water pump and sediment discharge filter. - RELIABLE FILTRATION MEDIA: The high-quality acrylic design makes this one of the most reliable media reactors available to help create a better environment for your aquatic life with up-flow water filtration. - READY & EASY TO USE: This aquarium media reactor comes ready to use with a pump, intake and output tubing, and all the necessary plumbing. It also comes with an easy to remove lid with recessed o-ring. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00GYG54O6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #130,126 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #295 in Under-Sink Water Filters | | Brand | Aquatop | | Brand Name | Aquatop | | Color | Multi | | Colour | Multi | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 404 Reviews | | Flow Rate | 2 Gallons Per Minute | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00819603014037 | | Included Components | AQUATOP MR-20 Multimedia Reactor with Pump | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 8.9L x 6.4W x 38.1H centimeters | | Item Type Name | AQUATOP MR-20 Multimedia Reactor with Pump | | Item Weight | 0.01 Pounds | | Manufacturer | AQUATOP | | Manufacturer Part Number | 003567 | | Material | Resin | | Material Type | Resin | | Maximum Lifting Height | 15 Inches | | Model Number | MR-20 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Power source | Corded Electric | | Product Style | Multimedia Reactor with Pump | | Product dimensions | 8.9L x 6.4W x 38.1H centimeters | | Specific Uses For Product | aquarium pump | | Style | Multimedia Reactor with Pump | | UPC | 781163721697 819603014037 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 120 Volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Aquatop - **Colour:** Multi - **Material:** Resin - **Product dimensions:** 8.9L x 6.4W x 38.1H centimeters - **Style:** Multimedia Reactor with Pump ## Images ![Media Reactor with 95 GPH Pump – For 10-75 Gallon Tanks, Up-Flow Filtration for Efficiency, Includes Adjustable Water Pump, Reliable Filtration System, MR-20 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71E1F5+gz7L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Could you put sand in this and use it as a fluidized bed filter?** A: I do. I put filter floss under the sponges to prevent sand from falling to the bottom. Used pool filtration sand and branched off from my primary pump with a valve to adjust water flow. I don't use the included pump but I don't see why you cant. Works great for me! **Q: Is the pump that it comes with a submersible or not** A: I'm confused how any pump that's not submerged would even work? That's kind of the point of the pump, to be submerged in water so that it pumps into the media... **Q: What are the exact internal diameter of the hoses?** A: From what I can measure, its 7/16 in. inner diameter and 1/2 in. outer diameter **Q: What size tubing I can use for the aquatop Mr 20 to replace the clear tubing that came with it with a black tube ?** A: 7/16 inch inner diameter, 1/2 inch outer diameter ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice reactor, small enough for chamber on BioCube 29. *by M***X on 29 August 2023* Was looking for a reactor that would fit in the back chamber of my BioCube 29 and this fit the bill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good for the price *by K***H on 1 September 2024* I have been using this as a gfo reactor for a while now and It does a good job. Only issue is the suction cups don't seem to wanna hold the hoses very well and they slip out from time to time and are more noticeable in the tank. Cleaning isn't hard but is still harder than I would like. The sponges get clogged up fairly easily and can cause performance issues if u don't stay on top of your maintenance. Over all I will buy another one for my other tank. The hang on option is good but it is better suited for a sump. ## Frequently Bought Together - Aquatop Media Reactor, 95 GPH – Up-Flow Filtration for Water Treatment – 10-75 Gal – Adjustable Water Pump Included – Reliable Filtration System - Kolar Labs GFO Bayoxide E33 Phosphate Remover – for Freshwater and Saltwater Aquariums, Reef Tanks, Promotes Coral Health (454g) - Marineland Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon, Filter Media For Aquariums, 40 Ounces --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/261043229-media-reactor-with-95-gph-pump-for-10-75-gallon](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/261043229-media-reactor-with-95-gph-pump-for-10-75-gallon) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
