If a lower table is wanted, it is easy to shorten all four legs to achieve the height required. **Q: How do you attach the wheels?** A: One end of the legs has a plastic cap with a knob you turn to adjust the height. The other end is an open hole after you remove the black cap and throw it away per the instructions. We inserted the height adjusting side of the legs to the top of the table - the castors just slide in the open side which should now be at the bottom. **Q: Can 2nd shelf adjust or remove to allow a chair to pull up and knees under table?** A: Yes. The shelf slides over the legs and you can put it to whatever height you want (or leave it off) and tighten a bolt on each leg to keep ithe shelf in place. **Q: how much weight can this table hold?** A: These should be able to hold quite a bit. There is a protective film on the surface of the material to keep the surface nice. When I opened the two I ordered each one had large marks on the surface cutting through the film scratching the top. Not a deal breaker but really annoying. I also have one of the boxed beat up when it arrived and one of the corners was bent out of shape.
