If you're running thousands of dollars worth of live audio gear in a rack, a Furman M-8X2 is simply a no-brainer. I use this in my in-ear monitor rack and it has made power management completely painless. The 8 rear-panel outlets with generous spacing between them is the real selling point here. In live audio, you inevitably end up with bulky wall-wart power supplies that block adjacent outlets on a standard power strip. The M-8X2 solves that problem completely with its wider outlet spacing, letting you actually use all 8 plugs without fighting for space. The additional front-panel outlet is also genuinely useful for quickly plugging in a laptop or any charger without reaching around to the back. Build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Furman: solid, road-ready metal construction that feels like it can handle years of gigging without complaint. As for the noise filtration, I haven't noticed a dramatic difference on my end, and I'll be transparent about that. The product when switched on for the first time made a loud bursting sound and there were little flames and burnt smell. I contacted BNext about this, they said I could return it but no one has picked this up from me so far!
