Hello Mercedes, thanks for your interest at our product. This is Eileen from Teagas team. The instructions are as follow: ①Paint a square line on xuan paper(big as stamp). Write down your Chinese name from right to left or English name from left to right in the square pattern. The same dimension like you want to show. ②Then stick the paper to the bottom of the empty stamp, and trace the characters on the opposite of paper with black pen. ③Then you'll see the opposite copy on the stamp. ④Next step, you need to use carve seal knife to carve the line. ⑤Finally, if you don't like the carved pattern on the stamp, you can rub down the stamp and restart the above steps.

Q: Does this come with paper other than the water paper?

No, it doesn't contain any paper but the water paper. There's eleven other items not including the beautiful box the items come in. It's was well worth the money to me.
