how do you fold it when not in use?

You first fold it in half. Then you squeeze it in the middle and it twist to fold again. Then you put it in its small bag it came in.

Which shade do I buy for 2012 Hyundai Elantra? Windshield is 50". Your chart suggests XL. Shade 18" wider. Ovals are too wide.

The Ovals do overlap on each other and become narrower for vehicles. The reason ovals are wide is your elantra's windshield is very tall so in order to support taller windshield if we make ovals too narrow than they will bend from center. We do have little extra cloth in center presently. If you like to purchase updated configuration for your car here is the link for our ultra-premium line up (XL will work for your car even-though chart says XXL)https://www.amazon.com/A1-Shades-Windshield-Sun-Ultra-Premium/dp/B072FH2YT7/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1500240854&sr=8-7&keywords=windshield%2Bsun%2Bshade%2Bfor%2Bminivan&th=1Please let us know if you have any questions.Regards,Larry SchneiderA1 Shades

What size should I install for a Hundai santa fe sport model 2018?

For a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, their site states to buy an Extra Large (XL). I would agree with this, as I recently bought the XL size for a 2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited, and it works, although slightly on the large side. I'd say for the next vehicle size up (Santa Fe), it will fit nicely.
