Homunculus

Tauk is one of the few bands who can release solely instrumentals and still stay interesting. Just like Soulive, but heavy and less jazzy, their songs are hook heavy and the riffs are very memorable. And danceable. With hints of electronica, hard rock, jazz, and funk, this album has been playing in my car and headphones for the past month. The songs are beautifully crafted and each instumentalist is insanely talented. As a guitar player Tauk is a perfect band because every solo is tasteful and exciting. The keyboards act as the vocals for some songs in making the hook and melody stand out, and each time it is beautifully done. The rhythm section holds it all together. The complex drumming and exciting bass lines bring Tauk together as a powerhouse of a band. I saw them for the 3rd time last week opening for Umphrey's McGee and left that show wanting to hear more Tauk. These guys are amazing in the studio, and even more amazing live. If they are in your area. Make sure to see them and buy an album or a shirt or two. These guys can only keep getting bigger. And I can't wait to see them headlining Red Rocks some day.

Complex wonderful fully formed adventures in free composition. When listening w the correct mood enhancer and some good headphones i'm always hearing new treats w Tauk music...highly recommended

I actually purchased the live CD, Headroom, first after seeing them as the opening act for another band. This CD is also very good and gave me a good idea of where they came from. I hope I get a chance to see them again.
