A Great Trolling Lure For Steelhead and Walleye
The Rapala Shad Rap 07 is sized just right for trolling steelhead and walleye in the 5' to 10' range with a 10# line. Utilize the 50+2 method (let out 50 feet of line, then clip on a 2oz. snap weight) and you can take the little Shad Rap 07 all the way down to 36 feet while trolling. The multitude of colors can make it a daunting task to pick, but through past experiences, you can't go wrong with Crawdad, Gold, Silver, Perch, any of the Shad colors, and FireTiger UV. On some of them, I have replaced the treble hooks with single in-line hooks and I have not noticed any issues with depth or action. They run true and I have yet to find one that needs tuning out the box.

This is great for catching huge bass!
This is awesome. When cast into a school of shad the huge bass go for this lure. Have 3 of these in my tackle box at all times. One of the few lures I totally love!

I have had quite a few of these. Very effective, trolling or retrieving. However it doesn't cast far due to light weight. The back starts to show sign of cracking up after about a season, which seems reasonable. The tail end starts to chip off about the same time. Generally it's made in high quality though...paints stay on really well, for example. I would give a 4.5 star rating and will buy again.

Rapala Perch. My Favorite Lure.
Made of balsa wood and tested in water before packaging. Highly attractive to Bass. Perch is my favorite color of all Rapala lures. Highly recommended for freshwater big game fish.
