My kid’s daycare has these and all the kids absolutely love them. They were a bit pricey, but they don’t wear down as fast as regular crayons and draw super smooth with really high pigmentation

I am a newly retired preschool teacher. I purchased these rock crayons to help my young grandson to develop a proper grip for handwriting. I have used the Handwriting without tears program which uses small flip crayons. Flip crayons can only be purchased as a class set. I decided to try these rock crayons. They are better than the Flip crayons. The flat side of the rock crayone encourages proper finger alignment and because they are short children have no choice but to hold the crayon the correct way. They cannot fist the rock. There are a multitude of vibrant colors. The rocks will not break no matter how much pressure is applied. The cloth bag makes clean up quick and easy. I like their unique shape. Unlike flip or regular crayons these rocks do not roll off a flat surface. I wish I had had these when I was teaching. I highly recommend these rocks for young children just starting to use crayons. Ifyour child is still putting things in their mouth they might cause a choking hazard so I would suggest using the rocks under supervision.
