It Works!!!!
My laptop has yet to shut down from overheating since I began using this. Such a simple little product that not only easily fits in your pocket for transport but more importantly it keeps your laptop cool when in use.Highly recommend!!!!

Didn't work for me
This product looks cool, insanely portable, and looks like it would work, but it didn't for me. I have a MacBook Pro, and I'm getting tired of the neck and upper back pain associated with working on my computer and looking down. So I tried this product. I didn't keep it because it was difficult to adjust on the laptop to keep it upright in the manner depicted. They kept falling - both the MacBook, and the stand pieces. FYI the product I received was missing the little rubberized end missing from one of the frame pieces. Be aware that if those go missing, these will scratch your laptop. But I figure I just got a bad batch so I'm not judging the whole range of these on my missing rubber piece - i.e., this missing piece is NOT why I gave the product 1 star. (Had the stand worked, I would've just exchanged it.) While the product might work just fine on another computer, but I couldn't make it work for me and my MacBook Pro. Instead, I bought an external keyboard, and the Brada laptop lap desk from IKEA ($10). I use it on the desk, not my lap. It's just the right height to keep my laptop at eye-level, and the external and ergonomic keyboard helps both my posture and relieves stress on my wrists. Of course, that solution isn't as portable as this promised to be, but I wasn't looking for portability (although that would be great); I was looking to relieve strain by raising the laptop.

I have a Macbook air and an i-pad and tried this on both. They work on both, about the only problem I have is I almost need three hands to place them. Though only a slight rise in angle it should be satisfactory for most applications.

Guess its my own fault for not reading close enough...
Didn't realize this was aluminum. Very light, but also a bit weak. I have a set that's steel and that one is much beefier. These bend a bit when you push down on the laptop where the steel ones stay firm. These seem to work fine though because most of the weight from your hands is on the front of the laptop. Had I realized this, I probably would have spent the extra $2 and got the steel ones.

Amazing! I use these daily now!
I have a Macbook, so these fit especially-well with the straight lines. They only "grab" about 1/2" of the side of the laptop, so if you have a plastic laptop with swoops and curves, these may not fit. However, they're great for keeping the laptop upright, stable, and cool on a soft surface like a bed or couch.

arrived one day earlier than expected
this thing is great! it's much better than those cooling pads with a fan. it raises my laptop higher than if i stacked books under it. It looks a little tacky but hell, it's much cheaper than the usb operated cooling pads. This thing is great!

These were flimsy and failed to hold up my laptop. I contacted the seller to inform them about their defective product, and CSR was not helpful.

or have poor airflow underneath
I think this is a fairly cheap way to eleveate a laptop that may be overheating, or have poor airflow underneath. The only con to this item that I see is the design could use a slight modification. The portion that touches the desk doesn't sit flat, so the pieces sit at an angle on the desk instead of being flat. If the bottom was T shaped, I think the bottom would be more sturdy.Other than that, this work well enough.
