## Questions & Answers

**Q: I just received my owl and its head spins around 360 degrees in the wind.  Is that right or is it broken?**
A: The head is designed to spin freely 360 degrees.  It's not broken.

**Q: Can this be mounted on top of a metal fence post- the type that has a domed cap on the post top?**
A: There are a couple locations on each side where you can use screws to attach it, however I don’t recommend that. 

You want to move it around so unless you screw it to something moveable, I suggest removing the plastic cap from the bottom and mounting to a pole. Personally, I had some PVC tubing and mounted it on top of that so I can attach the tube/pipe to anything and move it around.

**Q: Is the solar cell on the head?**
A: No.  The head rotates 360 degrees based upon the wind.  We have 4 of them, and usually all 4 heads are in the same direction.

**Q: Does this help keep hawks away from chickens?**
A: It did help u but u have to move the owl to a different location every couple of weeks! The head moves a fair amount which we think worked.
