MuHize Brake Line Tubing Kit 3/16 + 1/4" 25Ft Copper Coated Alloy Steel

First and foremost, a lot of reviews are slamming this product because it is magnetic, meaning it is not solid copper -it is only copper-lined on the outside- you need to know that before you buy this if your intent is to own the same car for the next 15 years in a rust-belt state. If you are restoring a car that you're going to own and drive for a long time, you might want to spend double the price and buy genuine copper lines. If you are like me and have a car that you want to get another 5-10 years out of, then this should do the trick. I think for $30 you get a very reasonable length of both 1/4" & 3/16" lines, and a number of fittings. My only complaint is that the fittings were not the same as the original fittings on my 2004 Honda Civic EX Coupe, so I re-used my stock Honda fittings when replacing my driver's side rear brake line under the engine bay. I bought a brake line flaring tool to make bubble flare ends and had no issues with any of this - worked on my first attempt, no leaks. Beginner's tip: take your time, go slowly and methodically, ensure you put your fittings on the lines BEFORE you flare/crimp them, and that they are facing the correct direction. If you're new to this process it doesn't hurt to cut a short length of brake line and practice making a couple flared ends with your brake line flaring tool BEFORE you cut a long length of brake line and try to make your line on the first try. There is a trick to flaring brake line ends, and not all tools do a great job, regardless. Also, when you're done cutting the length of brake line that you need, put the little rubber cap back on the portion of the spool you don't use so keep moisture out of it! I would buy this brake line again for my own vehicles and I'm glad I have some spare line now.

I maintain my cars for decades before finally ditching them. I've noticed that after about 15 years the brake fluid causes the inner lining of the rubber brake hose to dissolve and chunks break off. These pieces cause significant back pressure and keep the brake pads touching the moving brake rotors. This causes the brake discs to overheat. Be sure to be careful and properly grip the metal brake line fitting as you break the torque on the brake hose fitting. If not you will crack the metal brake line too. My Mercedes used steel brake line tubes and it rusted out. Replace with Amazon's copper lines for longer life.

Yes, easy to work with BUT concerning that this copper coated line already has more rust on it in 2 days after installing it than my 15 year old steel line next to it thats been exposed to the harsh salt conditions in Wisconsin !!

Used this to make new brake lines for my 69 Mustang. Easy to straighten out and bend, flared hood and came with all the flare nuts I needed.

I did my entire pickup with this brake line. It came with fittings and all. The material is corrosion resistant and easy to flare, especially when compared to steel lines. I did it all without a special tube bender.

All vehicles should have this non rust brake line.
