Backspace Unwind by Lamb contains 10 new songs written by Andy & Lou with 4 featuring string arrangements by Tom Trapp, who also conducted the string section for the recording session at Air Lyndhurst Studios in London. The Butler Records album includes tracks 'In Binary', 'Shines Like This', 'We Fall In Love', 'As Satellites Go By' among others. "Making this album has been a journey of discovery in so many ways. After making music together over a period of almost 20 years, it's reassuring that new routes and approaches seem to abound. Over those years I think we've learnt that this journey needs no map; in fact tearing that map up, at every twist and turn, has become our regular gleeful practice." - Lou

WOWOWOWOWOWOW!
This album is incredibly beautiful! My favorite production from this duo so far. The vocals are immaculate and the lyrics are poetic magic. The music is wonderful and much more friendly to a wider audience than their most early works but still have the signature experimental nature woven in. I put the needle down on this one and was just blown away at how engaging and beautiful this recording was.

After a few listens you won't want to put it away
Lamb posted a single titled: Backspace and Unwind (Fast Forward Mix) back in May and I got totally hooked by the melody and amazing production. In all honesty, I expected just to buy that one track once the album came out. Fortunately, I gave the album a shot from start to finish and Lamb sounds as epic, innovative, and fresh as they did in 1999.

Great follow-up
Love their textures and great rhythms. Hope to see more great music come from them although they've been a little quiet lately.

Beautiful album!
Lamb continue to craft amazing songs as well as albums. They brilliantly combine liquid-like vocals with their off-kilter beats, wrapping them with strings and electronics that evoke a special warmness. It's utterly unique and precious while unfamiliar and welcoming. Lamb have always mixed seemingly opposites in a way that creates something that seems like it should have always existed... like the statue of David, hiding in the rock - it's just waiting to be uncovered.

Great music from huge basslines to ethereal electronica
Bought as a present for a Lamb fan and i got the digital version in my Amazon library as a result. This album is instantly accessible even if you have never heard them before. I am a new fan and I loved it.

Beautiful, but missing a little...
A beautiful album. Andy and Lou appear to have mellowed with age. Not a bad thing as I, too, have grown older but it does miss the Lamb touch of their earlier work. Fear of Fours is still my marker.
