Great natural twine
You get a lot of jute twine in this roll and it should last me a good year. It's 4 ply and rather stong but soft jute and it can also be pulled apart to make birds like nest for firestarting and once apart the fibers are like soft angel hair. This material is intertwined together at various lengths as all jute is. The jute has a clean feel and smells like you would expect jute to smell. There is no chemical additive to withstand the outdoor elements like some manila rope has. I measured the diameter and it approx. .265 - .270 round. So in simpler terms its just a tad larger than 1/4" in dia. This would be great item to make a cat scratcher.

Fantastic twine for macrame
This twine is the perfect size for macrame. I have been unable to find any locally so I turned to Amazon (don't we all?). Also, the company that it comes from is in the USA!!! From Rhode Island -- so this is a huge plus!! Finally, American made! The only downfall is that this whole roll smells strong of ?insecticide? or something chemically infused. I have set it outside and will start working on macrame in 3 days. Hopefully by then the smell will subside. Still a good buy though.

Nice cord for garden, craft, etc.
This should last a lifetime! Many uses for staking and trellising plants, making light repairs, mostly outside. Breaks down after a while, but that's to be expected with natural fiber. Only complaint is a very un-natural smell, which I'm hoping fades away after this has been around a while.Reminds me of the macrame twine that was used back in the 70's to make plant hangers.

Good as Jute Goes
Great price for just plain jute twine. Used it to wrap the arms of refurbished chairs for a rustic look. Worked fine.

Great for macrame!
If you're looking for jute to make macrame items, this is a very good quality product. I wanted to make macrame plant hangers like I made in the 70's. None of our local craft or home improvement stores carry jute in this size (or quality!) so I'm happy I found it on Amazon. The diameter of the cord is about 3/16 inch. I was able to thread four cords through the 1/2 inch hole of a large wooden bead without problem. This is a great product that I will definitely buy again.

Bigger can be better!
I use copious amount of this twine for gardening. Heavy duty and a great supply. Makes the inventor Mark Twine very happy!
