1844 Helko Werk Germany Sharpening Stone Leather Pouch - Leather Accessory for Axe Sharpening Stones

I was surprised that the leather was so pliable. I was expecting something more like a leather box than a leather pouch. It holds a Lansky puck perfectly and the snap is quite robust. It’s a bit pricey, but heirloom quality. I’m sure one might find some shabby Chinese product at a lower price, but this is worth the money.

I waited a while before putting this order in, hoping that the issue other customers had encountered would have been solved but the snap is so strong that no matter how gentle I was the snap tore off anyway and another thing I noticed was that the reviews that state this are hidden under ( see more reviews ) the main reviews are all the positive ones . That doesn't seem right to me , as another customer wrote " Buyer beware" !

I am amending my original comments. The product is great quality, but I mentioned that it had a 101 year warranty but that was another leather product I purchased for my camping hatchet, (I'm sure it was tongue in cheek). That aside, this was without doubt the finest leather product I bought for my sharp edge tools and will probably outlast the product that said it was warrantied for 101 years.

All I needed to do was touch it and feel it in my hand, and I new it was quality crafted. I own property that I maintain and for which I am a steward. I always have some type of bladed tool with me, whether it is clippers, or a felling are, and usually take my puck with me. This pouch has the thickness to stand up to an abrasive puck, and fits well on my belt or toolbelt. I can now have my puck easily at hand to give a quick sharpening! It makes a great gift too.

It's tight on the puck and the snap is strong. I wanted to hold them in a leather case rather than nylon... I think the price should be a lot lower though. That's mainly why I can't give it a higher rating.
