It is suitable for almost anywhere: apartments, dorm rooms, at the office, and even camping. Also comes in handy when entertaining guests. This durable cast iron hot plate offers 800W of heating power and a full range temperature control.*Durable die-cast single burner*Perfect for dorms, offices, traveling and entertaining*High, medium, low and warm temperature settings*Power-on indicator light*Easy to use and cleanhttp://www.homedepot.com/p/AROMA-Single-Burner-Diecast-Hot-Plate-AHP-303/100483354see at home depot also... **Q: WHAT IS THE DIAMETER OF THE HEATING SURFACE?** A: In woodworking I would call it a nominal six inch diameter, however the exact measurement I got was5 13/16 inches. Hope this helps. **Q: Can this get water to a full boiling point?** A: It does not. About 3 quarts of water will get hot, but the thermostat will automatically make it shut off just before boiling point. I know because I tried to get it to boil for 3 hours. **Q: Wanting to get for my husband who drives a semi. Need to know how many amps it pulls? the plugs in his truck are only 10 amp.** A: Cars and trucks are on a 12 Volt system and your house is on a 120 Volt system. 8 amps on 12 Volts is only 96 Watts. 8 amps in your home is 960 Watts. The highest amp fuse on a vehicle that I have ever seen is 30 amps. That's less than 300 watts of electricity, not enough to run a hotplate. 10 amps on a vehicle would be totally inadequate.I'm not familiar with Semi's. I'm guessing they are also on a 12 Volt system. ## Frequently Bought Together - Aroma Housewares AHP-303 Single Burner Hot Plate, Metal, Black - Elite Gourmet ESB100B Countertop Single Coiled Burner Electric Hot Plate, Temperature Control, Indicator Light, Easy to Clean, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/259655771-aroma-housewares-ahp-303-chp-303-single-hot-plate-black](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/259655771-aroma-housewares-ahp-303-chp-303-single-hot-plate-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
