Excellent USB-C charger for my Nexus 6p!
Anker has branched out into offering a wide variety of tech accessories these days, but the products that made them famous were portable battery packs and chargers. This is the latest Anker release, and as expected, it's another excellent charger. The biggest feature of this charger is that it supports the newest USB-C devices like the Nexus 5x and Nexus 6P. It also supports the latest Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. With QC 3.0, a full charge (from <5% to 100%) takes only about 90 minutes. If you use an older 10W (2.0A) charger with one of these newer phones, it will not charge at full speed and you won't be able to take advantage of the convenience that quick charging offers.I tested this charger with a Nexus 6P, and as expected, the charger drew around 15W at the wall when charging the phone. This is identical to the Huawei charger which came supplied with the phone. Charging times were almost identical between the Anker charger and the OEM Huawei Charger. The Huawei charger which came with the Nexus 6P lacks a folding plug, and this is one nice feature of the Anker charger. The Anker charger is a bit larger than the OEM Huawei charger, but is shorter overall due to the folding plug.I also tested the charger with a Kill-A-Watt meter and found that it draws 0W when no device is plugged in, meaning that you can leave this charger plugged into the wall all the time and it will not waste any energy when not being used. This is nice, as some of my other chargers continue to draw some power even when no device is plugged in.Another useful feature of this charger is the folding plug. The folding plug is not placed right in the middle of the charger, and this is a positive design feature because you can flip the charger upside down if there is not enough room on the wall plug otherwise. The Huawei charger which came with the Nexus 6P lacks a folding plug. It also has a handy LED light which shows you when it's plugged in and charging. As far as size goes, the Anker charger is that it is no larger overall than the OEM Huawei charger. The Anker charger is a bit wider, but the Huawei charger is longer due to the non-folding plug. The Anker charger measures 5.5 x 5.2 x 2.8 cm with the plug folded, whereas the OEM Huawei charger measures 7 x 3.75 x 2 cm including the non-folding plug.

Very disappointed in Anker, does NOT engage in QC 3.0 with HTC 10
EDIT (06/05/2016) : Since I believe in full disclosure, as well as maintaining my integrity with these reviews as someone who cannot be persuaded with free/discounted items to shill for that company, I am leaving my initial review below marked so it is clearly divided from this one.Ok, so Anker contacted me after my return completed trying to get me to take a new charger. Seeing as I had gone through a few others in a row trying to find one that worked, I had little faith that someone finally had it right, especially considering the number of reviews like mine in regards to incompatibility with the HTC 10, so initially I told them I was just fine with my return and that I didn't need a free item (which I always assume now is an attempt at bribery). Once it got to a point where I was certain Laura, the customer service rep, would continue to sashay across my Inbox until I took her replacement charger, I relented and allowed her to send me one, fully hardened in my belief that it too would be a disaster. It is rare that I am just flat wrong. I'm not patting myself on the back, but I'm very careful about not making claims or assertions I cannot support as if my life depended on their veracity. In this case, I was wrong in all ways, and the charger functioned exactly as it should with no issue or hocus pocus settings changing on my part. Now, to my credit, I suppose it is entirely possible that the reason she was so insistent on my getting a replacement was that she and her cohorts were well aware that there was an issue with the current revision of these, and what I received was a tweaked/updated version that had no issue. Regardless, I'd like to actually apologize to Anker, and praise them highly for being as ardent as they were about their product being of the quality I had come to expect from them via various past purchases. So, friends again? :)Charger comes with a 90cm (don't let anyone tell you 3 feet, metric system boyyyyyyy) UBS-C to USB-C cable that may or may not be QC 3.0 compliant (I will amend this statement when the cables I've ordered arrived), but does carry at least 2600/2700ish mA to my phone as per Ampere's readings. It has properly negotiated the QC 3.0 protocol every single time I've used it today in testing - in fact, it has been, thus far, slightly more reliable in that regard than the stock charger from HTC, but that might have to do with the fact that HTC uses a cable that does a USB-C to USB 3.0 stepping which may confuse something every once in a blue moon. Regardless, it works perfectly, and I could not be more pleased.Let me be clear that I am doing this of my own volition, and that whereas I did receive a replacement in the spirit of good will from the vendor, I was in NO way obligated to make the above statements - this all comes from me. So, if yours doesn't work, I highly suggest you give them a shot to make it right, as it seems they're working through some inventory issues with this little unit.ORIGINAL REVIEW :I am truly disappointed in this charger. One would think for the comparatively premium price paid that it would at least do what it says it is supposed to do, but I am unable to get this charger to engage in Quick Charge 3.0 mode with my HTC 10. This is not an issue with my phone as I have several other Quick Charge chargers, both 2.0 and 3.0, that work perfectly fine with my phone. Complying to a standard means it should work with all items that also comply with that standard. In this case, I am unable to determine whether this is an issue with the cable as I do not have another USB-C to USB-C cable with which to check. That said, I would assume that the cable included with the charger would have been ideal, otherwise why include it in the first place? It DOES engage in a charging mode, but seems to be capped at a 2.0 amp output, which is well below what I should be getting from Quick Charge 3.0. On Android devices running Marshmallow, the system will say "Charging Rapidly" or something similar when Quick Charge engages. This happens like clockwork in every other instance, but with this charger it simply says "Power Connected" as if it were a regular charging scenario with a standard charger. In fact, it behaves exactly like the USB-C car charger I purchased which was very clearly stated to NOT be QC 3.0 compliant. When I attempted to contact Anker, I received the standard "We'll get back to you" auto-reply. That was the only message I ever received from Anker, and it has now been nearly 3 days since my initial request for support. I am of the opinion that they're being silent on this issue in the hopes that their incompatibility with certain phones (for whatever reason) can just be ignored until they release a fix. Whatever the reason, I am very unhappy with shelling out the extra money for a _1_ port charger that doesn't measure up to multi-port chargers at a price point nearly 50% below what I paid (i.e. since QC 2.0 is nearly as good as 3.0, I could have had a 3-4 port charger for around $15 instead). I tried to make this work, and I believe I gave them ample opportunity to make this right. Thankfully Amazon will just take it back, but I'd warn against trusting the brand name of Anker as some sort of justification that the product will be good just because it came from them.

PROBLEM FIXED!!! 5 Stars, updated review!!!!! Thank you Anker! ;)
Updated review on 5/7/2016Let me just start with by saying Anker has the best customer service ever, ANKER JUST GAVE ME A FREE REPLACEMENT because the wrong cable was in the box by mistake. I was willing to pay for a new one but they insisted on sending me one free of charge which made my day, now on to the review.I love the charger almost better then my stock LG charger for the Nexus 5x. Anker's QuickCharge 3.0 USB-C has a longer cable and seems to charge my Nexus 5x slightly faster. It has the capability of 3A output so you can charge your device rapidly, which is a plus. I'm so impressed with Anker I'm just going to have to continue to buy more of their products because they are quality and their customer service is #1 by far! 5 stars, great charger and most importantly Thank You Anker for making my week/month and many more years to come. I will continue to purchase your products from here on out.Hope this review was helpful in anyway, Cheers! ;)Old Review:Well I'm sure it was a mistake but still this being a new product how could they put a USB-C to USB 2.0 inside the box instead of the USB-C to USB-C cable. I'm returning it as I right this review! Anker does have good products and this is not like them, It's just weird how a different cable got mixed in somehow? This is not a review what so every on the charger because I didn't get to try it out do to a mix up at the factory apparently? I will be repurchasing this charger again in the near future and hope it will have the right cable with it! Hopefully then I will most likely give a good review!
