Green hair just don’t care. 🥦
This is the second time I’ve used this product. The first time went well. The second time (this time) my hair has splotches of green in it and it looks horrible. It is extremely noticeable too. Yes I followed all the directions, washed my hair before hand, put it on dry hair for 2 hours. Still turned green. use at your own risk.

Love it more than dye
I was so nervous to use henna on my hair because I didn’t want red in my hair, but I really wanted something non toxic and safe. I finally pulled the trigger on this one after looking at lots of reviews. I used light brown and I love how and it turned out and will definitely be using this again. I would say it’s maybe one or two shades darker than my natural light brown hair, but I think it looks great and prefer it over dye as it more stains the hair than dyes it, so I think you get more dimension with the color. I have lots of greys all over to begin with and they covered well. I used 1 small Dunkin’ coffee (funny measurement but true) 5 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, and some water to mix it. I let it sit with the shower cap included in the box for 3 hours. I rinsed with cold water and conditioned. It took lots of rinsing to get it out and lost a good chunk of hair from it. I only conditioned for several days following and the color is holding up well so far. It does smell a tad earthy but I think the lavender helped. I wanted to try to show good photos and include exactly what I did because I was so nervous to use it, I hope my review and before and after photos help. I have true light brown hair and previously would use dark blonde dye to color my hair. (Photos loaded as after first, before second)

As a regular henna user, I'm not impressed
I've used henna off and on for my hair for a few years now and full-time for my color option for the last year. I have primarily mixed my own and in doing so, have had to mix my henna and indigo separately, so it takes more time. I've tried different kinds of henna brands, but thought I could save myself some time in getting a brand that is ready to mix and use as is, instead of creating my own recipe. Granted, this one is a little lighter than I am used to, but it states that it will darken on hair that has already been treated with henna. It did not darken. It did cover my grays with a nice light brown for about two days, then a few days later, my grays looked light blonde, so it faded very quickly even though I only ran clear water through my hair as the directions indicate, instead of washing it. I thought this brand would work great because it's so much pricier per ounce than mixing my own and had some good reviews. I tried it and it just isn't worth it when I have to retreat my hair less than a week later. When I mix my own, I normally don't have to treat it again for at least three weeks. Maybe a darker color would work better, but this lighter brown color is just not for me. It might be a good segue into henna on naturally lighter hair though; that way you could see if you like the process and turnout.

Perfect!
It saved my hair from chemical hair dyes. My hair is light brown, and light brown henna looks like it's my natural hair color.

LOVE this Henna
I've used pure Henna years ago (1970's) & liked it. I've been going to a stylist for years to have my hair colored. I also tried doing it myself at home with a lot of hair loss. Decided to try the Henna Guys light brown Henna. Because I've used Henna before, I knew what to expect. I put saran wrap around the bathroom counter top. I included the sink with opening for the drain. I didn't find the process as messy as some of the reviews have stated. The smell reminded me of green tea. I made the Henna mixture more like mud instead of pancake batter. I applied to my hair with gloved hands, put on a disposable shower cap & another cap with material. Waited 3 hrs & rinsed with cool water, put in conditioner for 4 minutes & rinsed again. My hair feels so much healthier, fuller, & shines. The light brown turned out a little darker than I expected. But it's beautiful with red showing in the sun or bright light. Considering this is the first time in a long time, I look forward to using Henna from now on. No More Chemicals for me! Love the Henna Guys products. I've included a before & after picture.
