Klein Tools 2100-5 Electrician Scissors, Made in USA, 5.25-Inch Compact Scissors for Heavy-Duty Cutting and Low Voltage Work, Multi-Purpose

These scissors are great for the price, they are very tough and precise and will cut through some really tough stuff. I bought these as a general use scissor that would last me a long time and one that I would not have to resharpen very often and one that I could tighten up after it gets loose. I do have some a few issues with the scissors however. First the finish is not perfect out of the box, it has some spots on the surface that look a little dirty or unpolished usually in the sections where the metal bends sharply. The lube used doesn't seem to be that good as they were feeling pretty rough right away so I tried taking them apart. For me these scissors came super tightly screwed together and I tried as hard as I could to unscrew the pieces but I couldn't get it. My screwdriver actually slipped out a few times and bent the edges of the screw. Maybe I am just weak but I am hoping through use they will loosen up so I will try again later. My last issue with them is that they squeak when opened while new due to the tight blades rubbing together and it feels pretty crunchy rather than a precise glide. Even though I have these problems I understand that all the cost is going to the quality of metal and tempering. I actually wish they had a premium model or something with a higher price with perfect precision and polish because I love the way these look and feel in the hand. They still do their job great, and are especially impressive for cutting wires. I bought the ones without the notches as I didn't think I would ever use them, and I found them to not look that good, but now I am regretting it as I will probably need them in the future after all. If you need to cut things that are large and super heavy duty these may not be the best fit as the handles are small. Go for the one with a larger handle or pick up some emt medical shears which are a good price so you can feel better about abusing them.

Razor sharp scissors. Nice and compact and bigger holes than other small scissors I wear a size large glove with normal thickness fingers and these fit good and comfortable I have yet to need to sharpen them and they cut a lot they shouldn’t.

I’ve used the Klein 2100-5 scissors for a few years, and they’ve stayed sharp and durable through heavy use. Perfect for cutting cables and low-voltage work without any struggle. Compact, well-made, and a must-have for any tool bag.

I only found out about this kind of scissors when, years ago while walking the dog, I spotted a pair of small heavy-duty scissors on the road in my path. The Clauss brand was on one side and with "Bell South" written on the other. So it's quite likely that these fell out of the sky for me. Or at least from the overhead wires. The lineman was long gone, but DANG they've been one of the most go-to scissors for tough jobs at my house. They clearly had been used a lot judging from the wear on the sides, but they cut like nobody's business to this day. And, of course, Bell South is long gone too. I searched for Clauss online, but kept running into the Klein Tools version of the same kind, only Klein had better reviews. So here's mine now. I held the two side by side and the Kleins were surprisingly heftier in the hand. I liked that. I got this pair to stick in my car or travel bag. I have a feeling these will outlast me. In my last breath I should tell a friend to put the Clauss scissors back on the road for the next lucky person who walks their critter. I'm taking the Kleins with me in case the Pearly Gates are hard to get through.

I bought these on an impulse after seeing them advertised multiple times they work well enough for what they are, but for the price, they could have come with a little case, or a sheath.

I have half a dozen pair of these snips in all my gear and tool bags. They are so useful. They seem to cut almost anything. I mean, they won’t actually cut a heavy gauge wire but any kind of low voltage wire, rope or line can be cut with these. They will cut anything from paper to a thin gauge aluminum. They seem indestructible. I am a retired telephone technician and have used them for nearly 50 years.

The best scissors I have ever used. My only complaint is that I wish the handle loops were a tiny bit bigger for those of with wth fat fingers :)

Nice scissors. Little expensive but I’ll just have to look after them. Should last a life time
