Does it rest on the cup without falling over or do you have to hold it while brewing?

Depends. Personally, I use a tall 20 Oz cup for coffee and tea. With this filter, I can rest the ring on the outside of the cup, about an inch or so down, and the bag inside easily reaches the bottom of the cup. I rest the filter handle on the handle of the coffee cup to kinda stabilize it. Doing this there is no reason to hold the handle the entire time. This filter is large enough to make a whole pitcher, so depending on the pitcher, you would probably have to hold it in this case. To be honest, I didn't even look at the listing when I bought this, and I didn't realize it was as large as it is but I can say it is a nice and very well made product.

Will this sit on a jug?

Yes, the Thika 5.5" Large Reusable Coffee/Tea Filter can sit on top of a jug or container while you pour hot water over the coffee or tea. The filter has a flat bottom that allows it to rest securely on top of a wide range of containers. However, it may not fit securely on very narrow containers.

How do you clean this and dry?

I was taught that tea socks are rinsed out and air dried. When it seems necessary or once in a while soak in bleach, rinse well, and air dry. Soap will always leave an aftertaste.

easy to use and clean

I use it to filter coffee made on the stovetop. It works easily. After use, I wash it in the sink and squeeze excess water, then air dry. Then I store in the freezer to kill mold.

I use this to make Thai Milk Tea and it’s perfect! I wash it by hand and after a few years it still works great. A very good item!

Good product…

I use this to make coffee!! I love it.. Only thing is I can’t figure out how to keep the inside ring from turning over time..I believe if it is used and dried and put away right after use definitely left to air dry not left wet it would not turn. It’s a good product and I own several of them. Just care of them and don’t leave them lying around wet for too long.. I recommend it.
