Any one know if the box is nice, was thinking of giving as a gift

Yes the box is great to give as a present exactly what I did my friend loves them

Are these made from lead-free glass?

The packaging makes no mention of lead (I think it would if it was present), . That combined with the low price, lead crystal is usually pricey, I would say it is ordinary drinking glass quality. You could go to the Cristal D'Arques website for more information.

Are they tall to use as a table centrepiece not to drink from ?

They are tall but not tall enough to be a centrepiece.
