My battery says 377a. Can I use a 377 as a replacement?

NO... they are NOT exact equivalents. The 377a is an alkaline NOT silver battery. The 377's have a much longer shelf and operating life (in most devices), i.e. never use the "a" version in watches. Also note that the 377's have an almost flat voltage vs. time curve, whereas the 377a's have a gradual slope in the voltage. Devices depending on the constant voltage must use the silver version.

What is the manufacture and expiration date?

Energizer customer service told me these packages with no expiration dates are sold for commercial use only. I had the two letter date code off the package and they still could not tell me how old these batteries are.
