I had coverage issues when I tried to use plain ink or embossing fluid. It also helps if you place what ever you are stamping on a padded service instead of a hard table the extra cussion gives the stamp more contact and the image is clearer then if you stamp on paper or cloth that is laid out directly on a flat surface. I but the paper cards I was stamping on top of a magazine and I was able to apply more pressure and this gave a sharper image. They're well crafted and will also work well to stamp designs in clay.
